Great drugstore option

This is a great drugstore 'blue' shampoo - although I do think that the darker purple shampoo in this range, i think its called 'intense' is much better! This is a great everyday shampoo for keeping brassiness away and great for a person on a budget! Plus it smells nice! Would recommend.

I have a new Crush
I was given the chance to try the new John Frieda Violet crush for blondes shampoo. I have a new crush. I loved how easy this shampoo was to apply, it was not super messy. I really enjoyed the scent not harsh at all it smelled quite nice. After continued use my brassy tones calmed down and my hair is back to being its beautiful strawberry blonde. Love this product

This product smells great, leaves your hair feeling silky smooth, and it really help make your blonde hair shine. I found that most shampoo for blondes cost a lot and hard to find but this one you can find it at most stores and it is reasonablely priced.

Absolute garbage
I bought this shampoo as I have bleached hair, I have experience with purple shampoo but I thought I’d give this product a try, any good purple shampoo has purple suds when you lather it in your hair. This shampoo lathered a white/purple which to me shows that I clearly wasted my money because it’s not going to do it’s purpose which is to tone the brassy yellow out of my hair, I’m highly disappointed in this product

Good overall shampoo!

My hair is a warmer blonde right now, so I'd be better suited to review the toning qualities if my hair were currently an ashy, bright blonde colour, which I've always found so hard to keep toned. #freeproduct

Quarantine Must-have!
This shampoo came in very handy during recent quarantine by providing a very lasting tone to your blond highlights. I used a hair lightener spray from another brand which turned my roots a bit yellowish so this shampoo helped get rid of some the brassiness. It left my hair looking bright and beautiful - I'd definitely incorporate this product into my haircare routine! #topboxcircle #gotitforfree

Smells Amazing!

After three times using this product I've noticed how much it is actually really toned my hair even after the first use I noticed quite a few of the yellow tones have vanished I will definitely be continuing to buy this product as how well it has told my hair for the price after bleaching my hair my hair was very coarse and I noticed after using shampoos my hair has been super soft

Not purple enough

It ended up making my hair more yellow. But it did a good job washing. This would be better for someone with natural white hair as opposed to counteract the yellow from bleaching your hair.

Keeps my colour fresh!!

I got this #free sample about a month ago and love that the shampoo gets rid of the build up and chlorine on my hair (I'm a swimmer) with out drying it out. It also helps keep my hair from turning brassy. The scent is ok but would love it if it was lavender scented to match the purple colour. #trywithtopbox

Smells and works great

My hair is half colored so I could see the effects on the coloured hair but not so much on my natural hair. It lathers up really good so a little goes a long way and it doesn't leave any coloring on your hands.

Work well to take off brassy tone
I was super excited to try this product, I have used other John Frieda products in the past. I have ash blonde hair; it works really well to take off the brassy tone. My all time favourite shampoo!
When I was dying my hair brown, I only ever used John Frieda's shampoo for brunettes. Now that I let my natural dirty blonde hair come back (and added some bleach blond ombre) I really wanted to try their Colour Renew Tone-Correcting Shampoo. When I first had bleach put in, I did notice that my hair was absorbing minerals from the shower water, and would progressively become more and more copper-toned. A friend of mine told me that she was using this purple-coloured shampoo and conditioner because it combats the copper. I was so thrilled to find that John Frieda has shampoo and conditioner like this too! Topbox Circle made it possible for me to try out this shampoo and conditioner combo and I'm so grateful to them (#freeproduct)! I love the smell of the product, and how my hair looks and feels after even the first wash. And I did really notice that it tones the bleach blond in my hair to look less and less copper with every wash!

Toned the brass

I have salon blonde highlighted hair that hasn't been touched up for 3 months (thank you pandemic). So my blonde is in need of some care. This shampoo is a deep purple pigment so it can cancel the yellow in your blonde toned hair. This did the trick! I do use a purple shampoo about once a week anyways so I wasn't too brassy to begin with but this shampoo did make my hair brighter so it does work. I lathered up and left it in for about 1 min and it rinsed out well. It didn't die my hands or bath/shower area. It left my hair clean, my hair toned and overall I am happy with this product. It also didn't dry my hair out which can happen when using a purple shampoo. If your hair was REALLY brassy, not sure this has enough pigment to fix it but for regular blonde maintenance, this works really well for a reasonable price.

My Favorite Shampoo
I love this whole product line, shampoo, conditioner and mousse all far surpassed my expectations and I have tried allot of products. The shampoo helps to reduce brassiness after about 4-5 washes, I have hair thats lightened blond and went very brassy. The shampoo makes my hair feel very healthy and smells amazing too. Love these products!

My stylist recommended finding a toning shampoo to keep things from getting too brassy and warm. I am already a fan of John Frieda products, so I was really happy to see that they made a product like this at such a reasonable price point! The bottle has such a generous amount of product as well. The first thing I noticed about my hair after the initial use is how great it smelled! That’s such a plus! After a few washes and paired with the conditioner, I noticed that my colour looked fresher and it really brought out the tones I was looking for. My highlights look better and brighter than ever. Violet Crush for blondes shampoo
The new Violet Crush by John Frieda rocks. I have super brassy hair and this shampoo reduced the brass and brought out my blonde tones. Not good
I have salon dyed blonde hair, I ran out of my normal purple shampoo and picked this us. I noticed the pigmentation was not as dark as salon purple shampoo, which I expected. When I put it in my hair instantly got tangly and knotted and I had a hard time washing it out of my hair and even brushing my hair afterwards

Great for getting rid of brass
I always use this after bleaching. I leave it on my head for an hour with a cap on to get rid of the yellow. It works really well and is more affordable than salon brands, I have long hair and burn though products fairly quickly. It also smells great - but from personal experience, don't get any in your mouth....
