Overbearing mint, gross fake chocolate flavor
I bought this thinking it would be similar to the chocolate version I bought a few times before, which is no longer available. That was vegan, this is not, for those who need vegan foods. That one was way too chewy, this one is too hard. That one had good chocolate flavor and used real cacao, this one has a gross chocolate flavor and a very strong mint taste - so much that I could taste it down my throat like it's an essential oil. Not good for GERD or vocalists. Not buying again - for the price I expect better quality. Pricier ingredients doesn't equate to a quality protein bar.

I was so hopeful for these...they are hard as a rock, oily to the point they will stain anything with the oil and the initial flavor after you chew the rock to something editable is pleasant and minty...then comes the after hit of rotted meat...save your money there are better bars out there.

Personally, I found the texture a little too tough for my liking, and the mint chocolate bars had a decided black licorice (sp?) taste to it. I donâÂÂt mind licorice, but thatâÂÂs not the flavour I was expecting ...

Horrible taste
I’m sad to have to give this bar a bad review. I have had many protein bars and this one I couldn’t take more than one bite. It tasted like toothpaste. Way too much mint. I do not recommend you buy it.

It is so hard to find a high quality protein bar free of excessive or artificial sweeteners, damaged or poor quality fats, etc, etc. This on is SUPER! Love Julian’s Bakery products.
