Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome, awesome, AWESOME!!! I've been washing dishes for over 50 years (by hand) and was a bit dubious, knowing old-school dish soaps make dishes slippery and leave residue. I could not possibly be happier with this. Got as a Christmas gift to support my waste-free efforts, and am now about 6 weeks in, and barely a dent in this long-lasting bar. Dishes are clean and residue-free and because my hands are not sunk into a sinkful of water my skin is super-happy. It is a bit of a learning curve to adjust from using a sinkful of suds to applying directly to dishes, but if I can change, anyone can. Side benefits: I can see what I'm doing much better than working underwater and my water use is dramatically reduced. Note: I sense from reviews that some people are (wrongly) applying the soap to the dishwater as for a liquid product, rather than to the dishes. You have to completely change how you've probably always done dishes -- so exercise for the brain as well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ok but... Really love that I'm not using plastic containers filled with more water than soap. I live alone so it should last me a long time. I find that this soap can't cut through grease. Even after many applications of soap and hot water, the pots still feel greasy. I really want this to work....and it does for anything that isn't greasy. I bought a wooden holder which keeps it in place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible I really wanted to love this. I used the « savonnerie des diligences »´s one and it is great, so I wanted to give it a try. It is terrible. It leaves a foggy nasty film on everything. I bought another brand to clean the mess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am in love! I was skeptical at first, but this dish block is well worth it! It requires very minimal water to wash and rinse your dishes. It was strange at first, but now it is a part of my regular routine.
