Magnesium glycinate is a highly bioavailable form of magnesium that supports the metabolism of macronutrients and energy production
Magnesium activates the enzymes necessary for a number of physiological functions, including neuromuscular contractions, cardiac function, and the regulation of the acid-alkaline balance in the body. It is necessary for the metabolism of carbohydrates, amino acids and fats; also for energy production, and the utilization of calcium, phosphorus, sodium, and potassium. This vital mineral also helps utilize B-complex vitamins, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Magnesium glycinate is less likely to cause loose stools than other forms of magnesium.
Recommended Dosage: Take 1-4 capsules daily with meals or as directed by a healthcare practitioner

Great Product
I always prefer the Pure Encapsulations line of vitamins as they are very good for people like myself who suffer with Celiac disease and other allergies. I do not get any type of side effects from this line of vitamins, and I find they do help with what they are supposed to do.

Unnecessary Ingredient
I’m a big fan of Pure Encapsulations but this product is the exception. I am sensitive to the ingredient Ascorbyl Palmitate. It makes my joints hurt and my stomach burn. Now I have a huge bottle of pills that I cannot use. Why not provide a smaller bottle so that people can try the product without doling out a large amount of cash?

Best I have used.
I have tried different products but this one was recommended to me by my Naturopathic Dr. many years ago and I have kept using it. It is a better grade of magnesium than I can buy at a vitamin store.

PURE Encapsulations Magnesium Glycinate — My Experience
I’ve been using PURE Magnesium Glycinate for about four years. I stick with this brand because it’s simple, clean, and doesn’t have all the fillers a lot of cheaper magnesium supplements use. It agrees with my system better than other forms.
For dosing, the general guideline I found is about 4–5 mg of magnesium per pound of body weight. I’m 140 lbs, so that puts me in the 560–700 mg/day range. I take 600 mg per day (5 capsules), split throughout the day — 2 when I wake up, 1 with my second meal, and 2 before bed. That dose has worked best for muscle tension, sleep quality, and keeping my nervous system steadier. If someone gets diarrhea on it, backing off by one capsule usually solves it.
The main thing I’ve learned is that magnesium by itself isn’t going to fix an inflamed or stressed-out body. When I was eating carbs and processed foods, I barely noticed the supplement. The real benefits only showed up after switching to low/no carbs, dropping inflammation, and getting my system closer to baseline. Once the noise was removed, then magnesium actually started doing something noticeable.
Overall, this has been the most reliable magnesium glycinate I’ve tried, and spreading the dose through the day has helped a lot. But the foundation was fixing the diet — otherwise the difference was minimal.

Pure!!
I love that it is made with pure magnesium glycinate! Most other brands are mixed with either magnesium citrate or magnesium oxide, but not this one! You definitely get what you pay for! I will continue buying this brand since I’ve read that it is also highly recommended by naturopaths.

I've been using this magnesium glycinate for 8 months. I've tried so many other things for sleep and anxiety/stress (ex. melatonin, CBD, 5HTP Valerian) and this is by far the best. Taking this daily has been a life changer.

Definitely noticed an improvement with my sleep at night...this magnesium is the best I've used! This product has been a game changer in managing my stress. Well.ca always has stock and the occasional sale is awesome!!
