. I developped a blood clot being on BC pills, so after research and talking with my DR. I came across this product.
The applicator is a small tube, it is a bit awkward to insert, but I insert it usually just as we're getting into the mood of things. The pamphlet says it can be inserted up to ONE hour prior to intercourse, so I do it before.

The container takes a few tries to learn to use. Its a small arisol can, the foam comes out VERY quickly. My best tip is press gently, and slowly fill the applicator.
The applicator is small (about the thickness of a pen and about as long too) it's easy to insert.
Also, you WILL feel the foam inside you once you insert it. It's a bit tingly in your pelvis area, it's like a warm sensation but it goes away.

I use this AND male condoms when my bf and I are intimate. It says this product is to be used PRIOR to EACH time you have sex. So give yourself time to be prepared and use this product correctly.

Filling the applicator is annoying. I've gotten the hang of it only after years (literally) of using it, and I still sometimes have the pressurized foam overfill the applicator and explode out. It gives peace of mind, though.

Great contraceptive product - especially used as back-up to condoms, which is for some reason hard to find on the Canadian Market ... doubles as a lubricant too!

This is usually good, but the last one I bought the top was broken and then didn't last as long as previous ones. Been using for years, first time that happened.

What can I say? It's a contraceptive, I'm not pregnant. It's itchy though so don't use it right before bedtime or you'll be up all night scratching. It leaks out pretty quickly and thoroughly so you're not dripping all day.

The hubby is too nervous to use it since it warns that it could cause burning...

Very good and practic....:)

It works. There really isn't much to choose from in the Canadian market. I am not sure why.
