Jena Covello, the founder and creative spirit of Agent Nateur, has suffered from hormone-related health problems including endometriosis from an early age. Recently she was diagnosed with adenomyosis, and had to endure surgery after surgery. She began taking a holistic approach to her health, seeing holistic doctors, doing reasearch on at home treatments, and learning as much as possible about the disease. Her transition to eating organic food and using non-toxic cleaning supplies was relatively easy as products were readily available; however, the search for beautiful, holistic cosmetics and an effective deodorant proved to be futile. After purchasing and testing nearly every available natural deodorant free of aluminum, she found that none were effective.

Jena decided to make her own deodorant free of aluminum and after mixing different formulas for hundreds of hours in her West Hollywood kitchen, she developed a sample and gave it to friends and family. Everyone loved Agent Nateur and started asking for more.
