Improves the tear film and protects the surface of the eye.
Directions: OCUNOX is typically applied at bedtime due to the fatty consistency of the ointment. When used at night, OCUNOX can prevent discomfort upon opening the eyes in the morning. OCUNOX can be used for extended periods of time and can be used with other eye drops and eye ointments. However, in this case, OCUNOX should be applied 30 minutes after these other medications.
Contains: 250 I.U./g retinol palmitate (vitamin A), paraffin, liquid paraffin, wool fat (lanolin) and white petrolatum.
Caution: Only use OCUNOX if the sealing of the folding carton was intact before first use. OCUNOX should not be applied if you are sensitive to any of its ingredients. OCUNOX must not be used while wearing contact lenses. If you use OCUNOX during the day, your vision will be impaired for some time because of the fatty consistency of the ointment. In very rare cases hypersensitivity reactions like red, burning, itching eyes or excessive tearing were reported, which improved quickly after treatment with OCUNOX was stopped.
- Preservative and phosphate free and is usually well tolerated.
- Enables optimal moisturisation overnight.
250 I.U./g retinol palmitate (vitamin A), paraffin, liquid paraffin, wool fat (lanolin) and white petrolatum.
- This item is Final Sale.

Best eye ointment on the market
Recommended to me by my optometrist as I have severely dry eyes. It is preservative-free which is essential as per my optometrist. And contains Vitamin A!! Best moisturizing effect out of any other product I've tried. Eye gels do nothing for dry eyes; eye ointments are better moisturizers. Vision gets blury for a short time (10 min) but that indicates how moisturizing it is! I use it at night and it provides superior relief in the mornings after waking up. My eyes can now tolerate wearing contact lenses the following day.

Works, does not sting
This is not a gel, it is an ointment. Application needs more attention that a gel. Either clean your eyes with cold water or one of the gel lubricants. I use this at night. Your vision will get clouded.

Great dry relief!
First time using this product and really like it. I use drops during the day and this ointment when I go to bed. It's provided much-needed relief to dry and gritty eyes. The ophthalmologist recommended this product.

Best for night
This ointment is best used before bedtime as it makes your. Vision blurry but it does work for very dry eyes. This was prescribed my ophthalmologist and makes my eye feel more comfortable.

Helpful for MGD
I have used this every single night for over a year. I have MGD, and could never find a comfortable sleep mask that stayed on all night. This helps keep my eyelids closed while I sleep, and I no longer wake up with painfully dry eyes. Would absolutely recommend - just make sure you use it immediately before bed, and don't put the cap down; it causes very, very blurry vision.
