Kama Sutra started their company in the midst of the turbulent 1960's. It was the decade of flower power, free love and student protest. While the inspiration for the company's name came from the 4th-century Indian text on lovemaking - 'The Kama Sutra of Vatsyayana' - their purpose was thoroughly modern: to bring people closer through intimacy, and hopefully begin to heal the wounds that were tearing our world apart. This philosophy gave birth to their company mantra: "Making love Better".
