Glides easily, great for calming a skin

I was in need of a skincare product that would calm and restore my skin. My baby scratches my face time to time, and I use a Glycolic acid in my routine. Yesterday she scratched again, I applied this cream. It glides easily, I like the texture. The next day I applied again in the morning, it doesn't sting, the redness is going away. I am very happy there's no alcohol in it. I definitely recommend this product, and I think of buying it again.

Ideal for every day use

I got this product and my first impression of it is really awesome. I personally do not like sticky moisturizer . As stated on the package , this oat gel moisturizer is very light in weight and feels very smooth on skin without sticking . I love the fact it has no smell and a little can cover a larger area. My skin felt hydrated instantly .Other good part is that it's chemical free such as Alcohol and paraben .Overall, I am glad I found something that is so light in texture that I can make it part of my daily skin care routine .One star less for packaging.

Soothing moisture in a light gel formula.

I was excited to try the Aveeno Calm+Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer because this time of year my skin gets really dry and starts to act up. I absolutely love the gel formula and texture, in the winter my skin needs something that provides deep hydration, this moisturizer is so light feeling that it gives me the moisture I need without that thick, heavy, greasy feeling a lot of other creams give. The oats calm down my redness and irritation and the scent free formula is preferred over scented options.
I love this moisturizer and can see myself using it year round!

Instant Moisture!

Just by taking the product out of the box, in its glass container, you can tell it's premium. Withe the first dab of the product on my face, I could instantly feel it's coolness and soothing features. That must come from the oat ingredient. It applied super easily and dried on my skin quickly as well. Moreover, it was fragrance free. It is free of Parma end and I feel instant moisture/hydration after application. Definitely recommend this product.

Made my skin burn and itch.
I was so excited to try this since it was highly recommended for combo and rosacea skin suffers. I love the texture but as soon as I put it on my skin got red, itchy and burning sensation. I gave it 10 mins and then I had to wash it all off and use my regular cream. I tried again and the same thing. I wouldn't even say I have overly sensitive skin but I am not sure what it was in the cream that caused this. I did read that some people can have an issue with feverfew - it can do the opposite of what it should with some people.

Aveeno Calm + Restore Gel Oat Moisturizer is great for sensitive skin. It's free from fragrance, parabens and phthalates. Prebiotic oats and calming feverfew help soothe dry skin and protect your natural moisture barrier. I've been using this moisturizer for the past week and it's been delightful. I have sensitive acne prone skin so it's hard to find a moisturizer that isn't going to cause a breakout but keep my skin hydrated especially in the winter. A small amount goes a long way. I use this moisturizer in the morning after washing my face. Overall I'm quite pleased with this product and would definitely recommend it.

Great moisturizer

My skin feels nourished and moisturized. Makes dark spots on my skin fade away and my skin doesn't flake like usual when no product is applied. Like the way this product works and it very effective as the skin feels smooth and replenished. Would recommend to anyone having flaking issues as this light formula moisturizes skin effectively.

The Aveeno Calm and Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer starts working as soon as it is applied. I can feel a little tingle and cooling sensation almost immediately. It makes my skin look so dewy, almost shimmery and it feels so soft after using. I also really like the fact that it is fragrance free as it seems so many creams these days are heavily perfumed. I would definitely recommend this moisturizer.

Natural Smooth Moisturizer

That's why I was very pleased to try Aveeno Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer because it feels soft and smooth on the skin, plus it's free from fragrance, parabens and phthalates. I apply oats as part of a face mask on a regular basis to nurture my skin, and correct imperfections, but there's not always time to make it so having this moisturizer does help a lot with my busy routine. A gentle oat moisturizer by Aveeno

The gel absorbs completely and cannot be felt on skin after applying. During my skincare routine I applied product after cleansing and before applying make up.
I can be sensitive to scents and products however Aveeno's products are always mild and non irritating. Aveeno's Oat Gel Moisturizer has a very mild scent that reminds me of oats. I would recommend this product for all skin types as it is mild and hydrating and leaves skin soft and bright. I really enjoyed the feel of my skin after using this moisturizer.

My favourite moisturizer!
This is my absolute favourite moisturizer. However I truly believe that the plastic packaging is a little much (and extremely wasteful). I would love to see Aveeno offer a refill option for this product.

So gentle yet effective

I found it very light and easy to apply. It absorbed easily and didn't make my skin remain slippery at all.
It really did increase the moisture on my face. For a light moisturizer it still did provide a lot of moisture.
I really liked that if had no fragrance, I liked the faint smell of oats. It is what I would expect from Aveeno and will definitely be purchasing the product again. Especially in the harsh Canadian winters, this product will protect my face's moisture barrier that are exposed to the harsh elements.

100% LOVE this product!
I have sensitive skin and eczema and I have used many Aveeno products for body care. Any face care I have purchased never completely satisfied me as I still felt a slight irritation and dryness after I cleansed and moisturized. I took a chance on the calm and restore and I am absolutely 100% in love with these products. No need to try anything else ever again.

Shopper Army gave me the chance to try out the Aveeno Calm+Restore oat gel moisturizer for free for a honest review. I was interested in trying this moisturizer out as it was formulated for and has been tested on sensitive skin. This product is also free from fragrances, parabens and phthalates so only had a subtle oat scent which I liked. The gel was refreshing on my face and my skin felt more nourished. This gel helped to keep my skin moisturized throughout the day and I didn't have any sensitivity or burning sensation after using this product. I am really enjoying the Aveeno Calm+Restore line of products and would be interested in trying out the cleanser next! Thank you Aveeno

Good moisturizer texture

I tried this moisturizer since it's been getting pretty cold and dry in my area. I really needed something healthy and safe for my sensitive skin. The packaging looks very well made and safe in terms of no extra chemicals and the oat gel sounds very nice and hydrating for the skin.
When I tried it, I noticed the lotion has a strange smell. There's no perfume scent or fresh scent added. On the package, it's stated that it's free from fragrance, parable a, and phthalates. Personally, I prefer something that has a nicer smell than what this one smells like.
In terms of texture, the gel absorbs quickly into the skin and does not leave an oily residue behind. I love the texture.

Love the Moisturizer, Hate the Packaging
Dermatologists recommended this product since it is very gentle. I am in medication right now so pretty much anything irritates my me but this saved my skin! It did not make my acne worse/did not break me out and it did not give me closed comedones. It just that it comes in a box that is too big for the actual product, plus I think it uses too much plastic. I'm pretty sure it would still look great if the packaging is similar to the Ultra Calming night moisturizer.

Soothing Moisturizer

What attracted me to this product to try was that it was soothing and it had a gel like consistency. My skin has been very dry and patchy this winter. Lotions usually don't help. This moisturizer actually helped. It didn't irritate my skin and it actually soothed certainly areas on my face that were problematic. It helped cut down the dry patchy areas too.
I love the gel like consistency too. It feels cool to the face and absorbs very quickly. It will be awesome in the summer and stored in the fridge for a cooling effect. I preferred to use this in the morning, as I like a very heavy moisturizer at night.
I would definetly recommend this product. I actually have and my friend loves it too!

Comes in a nice jar. Don't have to worry about pumps or trying to get the last bit out of the bottle. Also like that it's not too thick. It isn't a heavy cream/lotion moisturizer, and it's not oily/greasy.

Great for Sensitive Skin

Aveeno seems to work very well for me in general. I like this moisturizing gel, and I’m not sure if it’s because it’s a ‘gel’ but it actually absorbs into my skin and doesn’t leave any residue on my face. I’m very pleased with this product and will definitely continue to use it.

I was very excited to try Aveeno Calm+Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer for free in exchange for my honest review. My first impression after unboxing is that it looks like a premium product. I love the look of the glass jar with the design on it. I was disappointed with the scent of the moisturizer. It's not strong or offensive at all, just not as pleasant as I'd hoped. I followed directions in how to apply the moisturizer and was very happy with how creamy it was and how well it worked in to my face and neck. Immediately after absorbing into my skin, my skin felt smoother. It did not have a greasy feel to it. I would recommend this product to friends and family. Another great addition to the Aveeno product line!

Really soothing
I am very happy with how this feels on the skin, I have been using it for a few weeks and it doesn't break me out at all. I think it actually does soothe some of the redness in my skin. The only thing I will say is it doesn't really feel like a gel moisturizer, it's more cream like so it doesn't have that instant refreshing feeling of other gel moisturizers I have used. It is super moisturizing though so worth it for me.

Soothes Sensitive Skin

Every time the weather gets colder, my face starts getting extremely dry, sensitive and very red. I have found that this product has helped controlled the redness and sensitivity. I would prefer if it would moisturize a little more though. It hasn't completely gotten rid of my dry skin.
It does claim to moisturize for 24hrs and leaves skin feeling soothed and comfortable all day, by incorporating Prebiotic Oat and Feverfew. It definitely does help soothe my skin.
The other features I like about this product are that it is fragrance-free, Alcohol free, dye free, and hypoallergenic.
I would recommend this product for anyone experiencing sensitive skin.

Quick absorbing gel moisturizer

I tried out the Aveeno Calm+Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin and love the cooling sensation it gives my skin when I first apply it. I have super dry flaky skin and using this did bring back some moisture. It's great how it is fragrance free, paraben, alcohol, dye and phthalate free. It's also hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.
The cooling sensation feels great on the skin. Some gel moisturizer I have tried leaves a film on the top of your skin and would ball up as you scratch or rub your skin. The Aveeno gel moisturizer quickly absorbs in the skin so it doesn't ball up when you rub the skin. My skin is so soft after applying and for the most part it stays soft the entire day, however I find my flaky skin starts appearing again after half a day so it doesn't exactly last 24 hours.

Good for sensitive skin

I just wish Aveeno had another more moisturizing lotion in this line with no alcohol additives. It works well under makeup and doesn’t cause acne.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was a little disappointed with the product. I find that it makes my skin feel greasy. Usually by the afternoon, my skin has a shine to it. I also learned that Aveeno does do testing on animals, that’s on me I should have done my research but if I had known, I would not have bought it.
