Benylin Extra Strength Mucus and Phlegm Relief works in your lungs to
break up tough mucous and phelgm, and has an expectorant to clear it
from your chest. This extra strength fast-acting offering is specially
formulated to loosen and thin out mucous and phlegm so that you can
expel it when you cough.
RELIEVES:
Medicinal Ingredients: Guaifenesin (200 mg/5 mL), Menthol (15 mg/5 mL).
Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Alcohol, citric acid, FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Red No. 40, flavour, glycerin, monoammonium glycyrrhizinate, polyethylene glycol, polyoxyl hydrogenated castor oil, propylene glycol, saccharin sodium, sodium benzoate, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, water, xanthan gum. Caloric content: 5.7 Kcal/5 mL.
CAUTION: Consult a healthcare practitioner before use with other medications, including natural health products, prescription drugs, or nonprescription drugs. Talk to a doctor before using this product if you have asthma, chronic lung disease/shortness of breath, persistent/chronic cough, or are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking a drug for depression, including monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor drugs. Check with a doctor if cough worsens, lasts more than 7 days, or tends to recur, if sore throat pain persists for more than 2 days, or if you also have excessive secretions or fever. Do not take more than the recommended dosage. Overdose may result in serious harm. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. First time used.
Outstanding product. Did exactly what was stated on the box, Fast, Effective Relief of Mucus & Phlegm, Chest Congestion and Sore Throat Pain. I was amazed how fast and efficient the product worked. I thought I would have to is a doctor, because of my restricted breathing. I could feel it working from the very first swallow. My mucus & phlegm cleared right up.
Excellent product, worth every penny !!

I had a quite bad allergic reaction
I took the syrup day one and it helped loosen the mucus in my lungs so I thought my sore throat was just from the coughing. But as I continued to take the syrup each 6 hours as recommended, my throat got worse and worse until I was in so much pain I couldn't swallow, lungs felt on fire, eyes itchy, etc. When I stopped taking the syrup my symptoms cleared up in a couple of days but it was so bad. So painful that I couldn't sleep.
If you find the product isn't helping and is making your throat more sore, stop taking it. I feel like this should be in the label.

Did the job!
This product helped clear up my throat pretty efficiently. It did take 2 days of taking 2 tsp every 6 hours for the results to fully show up, but it was very efficient once it started to work. By day 3 I was able to cough up everything and my voice had returned to normal. I would recommend this to a friend in need of relief.

Great product but hard On fixed income
It works extremely quick. I had to wait until i was starting to get scared about my breathing . I'm on a fixed income and all they had in stock was the 250ml. I had to borrow the money but it is a life saver. Highly recommend this product..

Works everytime
This is my go to product when I have a wet or chesty cough. You can feel the product going to work within minutes and the effects last about 5-7 hours for me.
Helps make my cough more productive and eases and discomfort of congested chest every time.

It worked so quickly. Amazing
My chest was very tight and congested. It was starting to worry me. I thought about going to thee emergency department but thought I would try benylin first. Didn't really want to be at the hospital because of all the illnesses there. After about an hour I could feel it working. My breath was coming easier and that evening my chest started loosening up. The next morning my lungs were clearing out the phlegm. Highly recommend this product.

Works quickly fast relief
My pharmacist Kris recommended this after I described my symptoms. It really helps clear out the lungs and chest. I have a chronic condition that causes frequent build up of mucus and phlegm. And haven't felt this kind of relief in I don't know how long.
