Benylin Extra Strength Sore Throat & Cough Syrup

Benylin Extra Strength Sore Throat & Cough Syrup, 250 mL, is formulated to provide fast relief of your sore throat pain and wet cough. This fast-acting formula soothes your irritated throat while also providing effective relief of sore throat pain, wet cough, chest congestion and stuffy nose. Each 5 mL or 1 teaspoonful (tsp.) contains 200 mg of expectorant Guaifenesin to thin and loosen phlegm and mucus and 15 mg anesthetic/decongestant Menthol to help relieve sore throat pain and relieve stuffy nose.

Dosage: To use, Adults and children 12 years and older, take 2 tsp. (10 mL) every 6 hours as needed. Do not exceed a total of 8 tsp. (40 mL) per day.

Read the complete carton and label before use and follow all directions. Security feature: Seal over bottle opening. Store at 15 to 30oC.

Warnings: Do not use with other products containing any of these medicinal ingredients or other cough/cold medications or if allergic to any of the ingredients. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking other medications, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a persistent cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma or emphysema, have difficulty breathing or other chronic lung conditions. Stop use and ask a doctor if you develop allergic wheezing, rash or itching, sore throat pain lasts for more than 2 days, new symptoms appear, your symptoms worsen, or last for more than 7 days, are accompanied by a high fever (>38°C), persistent headache, or the production of thick, yellow/green phlegm. KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. In Case of Overdose: Call a Poison Control Centre or doctor immediately, even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
