Gentle Lotion
This is the perfect toner for my dry skin . I use it everyday to keep my skin clear and tight. It feels super clean without drying out and it exfoliates without making me breakout!

no more flaky skin and whiteheads!
as part of my search for skincare products that can help gently exfoliate my skin and maintain my pores, I decided to give the clarifying lotion 1 a try. I have dry combination skin that's sensitive, prone to clogging, and a moderately oily T-zone. I chose lotion 1 particularly because it had salicylic acid listed in the ingredients, in the past with products containing salicylic acid, I have found that it helped clear my pores and prevent breakouts but sometimes it would also dry out my skin and make the flaking and breakouts worse. I wanted something I could use regularly every day. I figured lotion 1 would be a good place to start, I didn't want to start with the 3 or 4 just in case that was too harsh and I'd end up with a bad experience (additionally, BHT is a listed ingredient in lotions 3 and 4, and I'm allergic to BHT). I've been using this twice a day for about 2 and a half weeks and I've noticed that I no longer have skin flakes, and my white heads (particularly around my chin area) are slowly shrinking away!! this clarifying lotion does not have much of a smell, I personally only noticed a light whiff of witch hazel so this doesn't bother me at all. I love that it doesn't irritate or dry out my skin , and in fact it helps hydrate my skin after cleansing. my skin feels plump and soft after using this, and makes my next products absorb better! my only wish is that it would be more helpful with clearing my blackheads; I have really bad blackheads on my forehead/nose area. but understanding that this is the milder clarifying lotion, I don't expect it to fully clear my blackheads like the targeted treatments or the clarifying lotions designed for oilier skin types. other than that, definitely keeping this in my daily routine!

Good for dry skin in the winter
I'm usually a clarifying lotion 2 user but I find this one works well for my skin in the winter when it's drier. Gentle enough for sensitive skin, this clarifier works to sweep away dry skin flakes and prepare it for either daytime or nighttime moisturizer.

My Favorite Toner!
Of all the Clinique Clarifying Lotions, this one is the best for my skin. The 1.0 is a close second when my skin feels a bit drier. I would be so appreciative if you would make this formula available in the jumbo size, like the #2 and #3 formulas.

Great for Mature Skin
I switched to Clarifying Lotion 1 as my skin became drier. I find that it effectively exfoliates without causing dryness. This product has become a daily part of my skin care regime.

Causes too much dryness.
I've been with Clinique many years. Till this the only toner always have so strong alcohol please eliminate that n remove the Color's . Toner don't need colours n alcohol. I need alcohol reduce the strength it's too much for any human skin. You guys t doing good so please do it wright.
