Not suited to my skin
I bought this as a package with the 3 step skin care. After speaking with someone at my local Clinique desk, I got the dry/combination, as it was winter and in the mountains it can get very dry. I found my skin breaking out more after using it, particularly the under the skin spots (not surface whiteheads) on my cheeks and chin. I tried it for a few months but decided to stop using it after a while as it wasn't doing much for my skin. I'm thinking perhaps I'm more of an oily combination than dry.

My skin felt like Sun burn
I have been using Clinique since I was a kid, my mom used it. I use toner from Lancome. After advice from a Clinique consultant, I decided to give this a try. At first only the strong alcoholic smell bothers me (I thought Clinique products are without alcohol because it is for sensitive skin), last week I started to feel slight stinging sensation on my face. Yesterday my nose and cheeks were all red and is quite painful. Feel like Sun burn. I am very disappointed. I also heard that you are not supposed to exfoliate all the time.

I'm glad I'm back to the 3 step!
I used Cliniques 3 step system for many years from my mid 20's to mid 50's. I thought I need to up my game and switched to a more expensive line. I honestly didn't notice any appreciable difference except I was paying a much higher price. I've just recently returned to Clinique and I'm so glad I did! The 3 step system is tried and true. Using these products again, I've rediscovered how easy and how effective the system is! True story..... shortly after I turned 50, I was visiting my son in Virginia. I was asked to produce my ID when ordering or purchasing alcohol not once, but 5 time! When I gave them my ID, I looked up and smiled, several people looked at my face and looked at my ID again and asked what my secret was that my skin looked so good. I replied it was finding a good skin care regime that was easy, worked and the sticking to it! I strayed once, but I'm back for good now! Clinique has proven it's worth more than enough! Thank you Clinique!

I really wanted to love this
I really wanted to love this product but unfortunately I didn't. I usually love clinique products and they work very well for my skin, but this lotion really dried up my skin. I always moisturize after I use it, but my skin got so dry because of it. And the burning sensation!! I have been using it for a month hoping my skin would get used to it, I only applied on the same area once and gently but the burning sensation is still here and not pleasant. This is one product that really didn't work for me and that I didn't like unfortunately.

Adequate exfoliator
I tried this one to replace the clarifying lotion 3 that I felt was extremely drying. This one is certainly better and does not cause my skin to dry as severely, but I also don't notice significant improvements when I use this exfoliator vs when I don't. Perhaps the clarifying lotion 1 is more suitable for me.

It makes my skin tingle.
It has this odd tingle feeling. I usually just splash on my toner but this one makes your eye burn so be careful. Otherwise, I have no complaints my skin does feel softer after use and is really good for sensitive skin.

Excellent
Nothing beats this toner/liquid exfoliator. It's like liquid gold for the face, keeps my skin balanced and cleans what my cleanser missed. Makes my face feel so fresh and clean after I wash up. I've been using this product for over 25 years and I'll never change. And I've tried others but they don't match up.

Refreshingly glowing skin
This is a must-have for me! Tones, refreshes, exfoliates and perfectly preps skin for moisturizer. Removes the last traces of make-up that cleanser leaves behind.
