Rated 2 out of 5 by Bashful73 from Used to love it All I use are Cover Girl products and I've used this product for years and used to love it. More recently, I'm finding it does tend to smudge and wear off within half hour. I recently started developing eye irritations which I have just discovered is from the eyeliner. Perhaps because it does smudge and maybe gets into to my eye. I don't know if the ingredients have changed or maybe the manufacturing process has changed but I definitely don't feel that it works nearly as well as it used to. Unfortunately, because of my eye irritations I will have to switch to a different product. :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by Tighteyes from Tip immediately broke, not white! Q) I bought the colour 201 white out expecting a matte white liner for tight lining. THIS IS NOT WHITE. this is a silvery pearl liner. It should not be labelled as white, it should be called silver. 2) the formula is way too crumbly and mushy, it immediately broke when I tried to gently Nightline and crumbled / caked into my eyelashes. 3) it doesn't show up! The reason you want a matte white liner for tightlinjng is making the eyes appear larger / more open. This silver colour does not fo that and just looks crumbly, patchy and bad. Just make a matte white liner!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LindseyB from Actually really like it? I have been using this eyeliner in charcoal since I started using makeup when I was young many years ago. When I went online and read these reviews I was shocked there were so many bad ones?! I never had a problem with it breaking and I always found it to be pigmented and easy to use? This is pretty much the only eyeliner I use and I am pretty expierenced with makeup. I will continue to buy this product, recommend it , and love it!

I tried to take it back but because i took out of package and dont have the reciept as i bought before my old liner ran out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Karen76 from Won't work I bought fresh make-up before a family funeral and I couldn't use this product as the twist mechanism won't work. Very disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ajohns from Great... when it works Have had clients complement me on my eye makeup a few times. I’m a young 52, so I have used many products in my time. When the product and mechanism work, the ease of use, results and staying power are absolutely fantastic! I have found that the product fails after 2-3 was of use (light use 3-5 days a wk). This is so frustrating, and expensive, so I thought I would check out the reviews: it seems as though I not alone in my experience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TamaraD from 2nd attempt - 2nd fail I purchased this for the first time about 6 months ago but it was broken. The makeup wouldn’t come out no matter what I did. So I ended up buying another product. Last week I went to get more but the other product wasn’t in stock so I grabbed another one of these Covergirl pencils.... BROKEN AGAIN! The twist/sharpening does not work. I can’t get the makeup out. SUPER FRUSTRATING

Rated 1 out of 5 by JanC from Terrible Product It breaks and is totally unusable. I tried everything to make it work and despite numerous attempt and how tenderly I tried to use it, it always broke (leaving little pieces on the floor, which in turn ended up on the bottom of my foot and ultimately smudged all over the floor!).
