Description
Lavender – Fine, also known as true lavender or lavender officinale, is most appreciated for being the most fragrant of the lavenders. Lavender essential oil is the most well-known and the most frequently used of virtually any other essential oil. The Romans used it to perfume their clothes and their baths. The word ‘lavender’ comes from the Latin ‘lavare’ which means ‘to wash’.
Lavender fine essential oil is used in aromatherapy for its relaxant properties (sedative, calming, nervine) to help relieve nervousness, irritability and worry and to help with sleep.
Method of Extraction: Steam distillation
Country of Origin: Bulgaria
Colour: Light yellow to orange
Odour: Rustic, floral and herbaceous
How to Use: Inhalation: Add 4 to 12 drops of essential oil to a bowl of steaming hot water/facial steam machine. Inhale slowly and deeply for 5-10 minutes.

If accidental ingestion occurs, seek urgent medical attention or contact a Poison Control Center. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; if this happens, rinse thoroughly with vegetable oil. Do not use on inflamed skin or if suffering from dermatitis. Avoid exposing treated area to sunlight. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist.
