Surpassed my expectations
My colour had turned brassy and I read an article recommending several colour correcting shampoos. The John Frieda one had the best price, so I decided to try it first. Well, it will also be the last one I try, because I love it and will stick with it! After 2 or 3 shampoos I already noticed a 100% improvement in the tone of my hair colour - no more brassiness! As a bonus, it smells lovely and left my hair very soft and manageable.

Blond hair care
After months away from the beauty salon, due to all the Covid restrictions, my blond-coloured hair was with some unwanted yellow tones. So, I used shampoo Violet Crush for blondes, and at the first use, I could see a really better colour in my hair. I just loved how this shampoo has helped my hair have a beautiful blond colour. It is easy to apply, and it does not leave the hair purple. I for sure recommend it, and it will be part of my hair products. #freeproduct #trywithtopbox

All the other shampoos and conditioners to get rid of the brass are expensive for such little product. You really get your money’s worth from colour renew!!
I’ve been using this for a while now and I’ll never use anything else.
I have long hair and there are absolutely no tangles after using this, plus it smells great.
P.s; I live in Canada and I just go to the local shoppers/or Walmart and it’s there. For anyone finding it hard to find here.

Loved It - John Frieda to the Rescue
Was suffering from the ultimate bad brassy colouring job when I received this John Frieda COLOUR RENEW TONE CORRECTING SHAMPOO
as a 3 Day sample.
I went through the 3 day applications and it turned my hair back into a beautiful golden blonde, removing the orange, brassy tones.
I bought a supply of this product and the conditioner.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT!!!
Sheer Blonde Cover Renew Tone Correcting Shampoo is the ONLY product that I have found that REALLY gets rid of the brassiness of colour treated blondes. I am so impressed with this shampoo that I am going to try the conditioner next.

I have received this product for free from Topbox Circle. I was super excited to try it as I am a big fan of John Frieda hair products. I am a blonde and fighting the brassiness of my color it’s being always challenging. This shampoo is really amazing good and my blonde it’s radiant again. Its smells very pleasant , not like other toning shampoos that I tried. It’s not drying your hair , the results are absolutely beautiful . I highly recommend it using together with the conditioner. #trywithtopbox # free

Excellent Product
I'm not a true natural blonde. As all us women know, unless you goto salon and pay $100.00 plus to keep up on our blonde locks..sometimes we have to cut corners and bleach at home.
Well, I've tried a lot of purple shampoos to keep up my platinum blonde hair. I've had no luck as they all deposit purple hues in your hair, which looks very unattractive unless you want to look punk.
Since I started bleaching at home, I always notice under hues of yellow in my blonde. Recently, i tried the john Freida tone correcting shampoo. I lathered it all over my hair, left it on for 1-2min rinsed out and let air dry. Onced dried, my yellow under tones vanished And it brightened it a lot. I'm definitely going to try the conditioner next. I recommend this product , it doesnt leave a purple hue behind.

This product does not leave your hair damaged, just make sure you really rinse well or you may see a bit of purple/grey (does come off by just rinsing).
As far as smell, to me it does not have any scent but what matters to me are the results.
This is MUST HAVE for blonde colored treated hair and will last you a while unlike other tone correcting products you must live on for so long or one time use, with this product you are getting optimal results, your hair comes out looking shiny and feels great, you only have to leave on for couple of minutes, it is light does not feel heavy, and it does not cause any damage to your hair. I am happy I have found the perfect toner for my hair.

Good for offsetting brassy tones.
This shampoo does exactly what it says it does. I have naturally dark brown hair but I have highlights done and a lighter colour on the rest of my hair. Overall, my hair is an ash-brown colour. Though it isn’t blonde, my stylist told me I need to use purple shampoo to offset the “warm” tones in my hair and keep them “cool” and ashy. With just one wash using this shampoo there is a notable difference in the colour of my hair. Any warm or brassy tones that were once there are gone and the colour is restored. I don’t find it does much for my hair otherwise though. My hair is very thick, coarse, and dry, so it can take a lot to maintain the moisture and control frizz. This shampoo doesn’t seem to help with any of that, but that is okay for me because I use hair masks & oils pretty frequently to help keep my hair in good condition. Overall if you are looking for a shampoo to simply offset brassy tones you can’t go wrong with this one.

My Favorite Shampoo
I love this whole product line, shampoo, conditioner and mousse all far surpassed my expectations and I have tried allot of products. The shampoo helps to reduce brassiness after about 4-5 washes, I have hair thats lightened blond and went very brassy. The shampoo makes my hair feel very healthy and smells amazing too. Love these products!

Takes Away Brassy Tones
I really Like this John Frieda Violet Crush Purple Shampoo for Blonds. I had blond streaks done early in the summer, but being out in the sun without wearing a hat, caused my hair to look yellow and take on brassy tones. This shampoo has definitely toned down the brassiness and helped the condition of my hair in general. It's a very dark purple, but doesn't leave a purple tinge in the hair, and lathers very well, so you don't need to use a lot. This was given to me by Topbox Circle as #freeproduct. I will be buying it, when this one runs out and I definitely recommend it.

Brassy turned icy

I have dyed blonde hair (highlights on top of highlights) as I new mom I haven’t dyed my hair in over a year! My hair looked dull, brassy and unkept. When I revived this product I was so excited to give it a try and see if it would wake up my hair a bit.
Well I was not disappointed after just the first use my hair was noticeably lighter. The shampoo had canceled out most of my yellow undertones, by the third use my hair was had almost no yellow in it at all.
I’ve tried John Friedas purple shampoo in the past but this one blows it out of the water!

Totally takes out the red
Been coloring my hair for years and now all shades of blonde go a bit red or orange and this product is great for taking out the brassiness and making the highlights bright and blonde like they should be - great product!

My hair is platinum blonde, extremely fine and fragile. This tones the unwanted yellow out of my hair, and leaves my hair soft and manageable, which is a feat unto itself really. Would definitely recommend to any blonde who loves ashy tones and struggles to get rid of the yellow!

I was pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of this shampoo in making the yellow color of my blonde hair disappear. After only 1 shampoo I could see the difference. In addition the smell of this shampoo is great. I gave it to my mother who has white hair and she also loved it. I recommand to use it with the conditioner since it’s a little bit drying.

Great coverup

Conditioning Shampoo
I randomly purchased the shampoo and conditioner in the tone correcting just to try something new. The shampoo feels extra conditioning in your hair but it also feels like a 'real shampoo', I find some shampoo's for tone/colour do not actually clean well, this seems to do both.

It really helps get rid of my unflattering yellow tones. I love that it's peroxide and ammonia free and smells great. For my best results I lathered it up good and let it set for 3 to 5 mins before rinsing. My hair was looking dull and my dirty blonde roots were coming through so I decided to bleach the roots. Unfortunately, I did not hold the bleach long enough and was left with yellow hair!! I ran to the store after reading reviews and decided to buy this product. Really made a difference after just 1 use!! Look was ok for a while but as I got into my thirties it was too much. I always had to buy dark blonde - light brunette. Now in my forties, no more will I have that look like I'm trying to cover greys. I use it with the conditioner as well. Thank you so much for working hard for us who like to color.

Great Shampoo

The tone correcting shampoos I have used in the past have been a lot more pigmented, but with that being said, this particular shampoo performed well. It did tone some of the brassy tones out of my hair. I like the scent and I like that it's affordable and can be found in most department/drugstores. Tones down brassiness
I requested a sample of this product through Top Box, thank you for sending it so I can see for myself if it will do something for the brassy tone in my hair. I color my hair at home and after a few weeks the brass sets in. This shampoo not only tones it down but it leaves my hair soft, shiny and minimal tangles, (I always have to use de-tanglers, but less with this shampoo.) A good product to have if your hair is colored.
