Kristin Ess Hair Rose Gold Temporary Tint

    Description & Features

Kristin Ess is always looking for ways to play with pastel tones in the hair. This is the first ever in-shower watercolor that creates a temporary tone when sprayed on wet hair and then rinsed out. The intensity is up to you. When you spray it on damp, towel-dried hair it will soak up more color and last longer. If you spray it on wet hair it will give you a more subtle tone and will rinse out faster. The pink tone is most visible on pre-lightened/highlighted or blonde hair and washes out in 1-3 shampoos depending on the porosity of your hair.

Contains Zip-Up Technology:

Kristin Ess' proprietary strengthening complex designed to help "zip-up" split ends while targeting weak areas of the hair, smoothing the appearance of damaged cuticles and helping to protect hair from environmental stressors and color fade.

  • For colored or naturally blonde hair
  • Temporary toning
  • Instant blush color
  • In-shower application
  • Cruelty free

Rose all day!

  • 1. Shampoo your hair and rinse.
  • 2. Apply spray in the shower on wet hair. For a more intense pink color, towel dry the hair before you spray. For a more subtle hint of pink, spray it directly on freshly rinsed hair. (The less water there is on the hair, the more tone the hair will soak up. Think of your hair as a sponge! If its full of water it can only absorb a little color.)
  • 3. Once you feel you've covered the hair you want to color, wait 1-2 minutes and then rinse.
  • 4. Follow it up with your favorite conditioner or mask.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Really wanted to love it I used this product for the first time. I tried a test patch a day before wet and it barely worked (my hair is colour treated blonde and naturally dirty blonde). So I tried spraying on towel dried hair and leaving a bit longer than the can says to. After a rinse I still wasn’t happy so used the rest of the can and it only lightly tinted it. It washed out completely after 2 washes. It was a fun colour and obviously very temporary, just didn’t work well on my hair unfortunately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favourite hair products This is such a fun way to try a different look with no commitment AND actually washes 100% out after a few washes, NOT like some of these other temporary colours that stain your hair! It does only work on very light hair as it didn’t work on our daughters darker blonde hair. One bottle is good for 2-3 applications depending on hair length and thickness.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I read other reviews that mentioned this doesn’t work on naturally blonde hair, but it was on sale so I thought I’d give it a try. I thought maybe my naturally blonde hair would react differently. Nope! It actually says on the product (you can’t see it too well on the photo here) that it’s for pre-lightened or highlighted hair. I tried, sprayed quite a bit on and left it for a couple of minutes, but not even a hint of pink stayed on my hair—not even on the lightest blonde strands. If you are like me and thinking this might work on your naturally blonde hair...I would not recommend purchasing it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works on Bleached hair I bought this hair tint in a whim. My hair is platinum and I wanted a temporary change, This product was fantastic. A bit of a struggle to apply evenly in long hair. My husband had the honours. We did it in the showers in layers. Very happy! The first day was pretty bright, after the second wash everything blended so well . Here are the photos .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I was really hoping I would like this product. I have brown hair but used it on my blonde balayage. Did it twice and though the 2nd time it change the colour a TINY bit it was still way too subtle. I applied it to semi damp hair (more dry then wet) and left it on for 5 min before washing it out. The process was too long for me as I have a baby at home and can’t shower then wait for my hair to dry then get back in the shower again to continue. It’s a huge mess as well u need to spray it in the shower or else ur bathroom will be pink. So my hair didn’t really change but my bath mat is now pink. Unfortunate I was really hoping to like this one as I LOVE her other products 😔

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pros: buildable colour - you can start slow and add more pink as needed. The colour itself is gorgeous - more cotton candy than rose gold but that is just fine with me. Did not bond to my ashy blonde roots but grabbed my highlights well. Cons: MESSY. Stained my white walls. Apply in shower! Super strong smell, but doesn't linger after rinsing. A bit drying. Overall a fun little adventure if you are blonde and need a temporary change!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this product! Note that my hair is a fairly light blonde (bleached). It took a couple of tries for me to get the hang of this, but if I really want a punch of colour, I shampoo my hair, towel dry it so it's damp but not soaking wet, part my hair in sections and spray each section. I leave it on for 2 minutes, rinse, condition, and my hair is a lovely rose pink for about 3-4 shampoos!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This tint is so pretty. I followed the instructions and applied it to towel dried hair. After I rinsed, conditioned and dried it, it was barely noticeable. I reapplied it to dry hair and then rinsed, and conditioned, and I'm much happier with the colour. *Used on dirty blonde (by highlights) hair.*
