Worked like a charm the second time around!
I first tried the Signature Hair Gloss in Winter Wheat when I dyed my hair blonde, following the instructions on the pamphlet precisely, and even blowdrying it the way Kristin Ess does it in her tutorials. It did absolutely nothing for me! I've recently dyed my hair brown and wanted to give this product another try because I won't be able to make a visit to the salon anytime soon and needed a quick touch-up. This time around, it worked wonders! My hair is very thick and instead of leaving the product in for the suggested 10-20 minutes, I left it in for 40 minutes. It toned my brassiness and left my hair really soft! However, I'm only giving it 4 stars because there was no 'gloss' factor and it didn't make my hair shiner. It also definitely helps if someone puts the product in for you so it distributes evenly at the back.

Love but wish it lasted longer
Does exactly what it says and it’s a good fix for now when salons aren’t open and I’m too afraid to dye my own hair! However I found it didn’t last very long- I only wash my hair every 4 days so I was hoping it would last longer than it says, but the 3-4 weeks was still accurate for me. Makes hair shiny and soft and darkened my faded reddish ends to match my darker roots. Does have purplish tone but only in certain light.

Shine booster!
As advertised, this did not cover my greys (dark brown, coarse, Asian hair), despite my wishful thinking. That said, I was pretty impatient with the application and didn't leave it on for the whole 10 minutes. However, it did make my hair super shiny! I didn't realize how dull my hair had gotten, but a week later, I still notice how noticeably shinier my hair is.

Perfect product to tide you over between salon appointments
This gloss did exactly what I wanted it to - gave my hair shine and a cool toned tint. I have medium brown hair that tends to pull red and this product just tones my hair slightly and adds a lot of shine and softness. It doesn’t last too long but at the price point - I don't mind!

LOOOOOVE
I bought this on a whim for a self care night. I have never liked the brassy tones at the ends of my hair. This product removed the brassiness and added shine. My hair is so soft!!
Now let's see how long it'll last.

Effective
Very effective. Maybe a little too much. But to be faire I applied it on dry hair. My hair is dark brown but I wanted to get rid of some brassiness caused but the sun and have a more neutral brown. I left it on for 10 minutes on dry hair and now my hair is almost leaning towards black. So for a more subtle effect, I'd suggest you follow the indications to put it on wet hair.

The brunette shades are very dark and drying
I’ve used this gloss for blonde and bronde hair before and always felt like it conditioned hair, but now that I’m a brunette I use this and it dries my hair out, and no matter what shade I get, it somehow always goes darker than the previews. So if you read reviews about drying your hair out and making it black, it’s true.
