pros:
this product has a smell I like, it's strong at first but fades during the day (within a couple hours) and I like this because after styling with heat my hair can smell like it's been styled with heat.
loosens curls like they've been combed through - good if you're going for a natural beachy type look.
cons:
doesn't help with frizz
loosens curls quite a bit so beware of this if you've only loosely curled to begin with, your hair may end up looking flat

Refreshes curls/waves!
The pros about this product are that it really refreshes curls/waves, and helps control frizz as well. Use lightly at first, because too much product will weigh fine hair down. The big con for me is the intense fragrance of this product - I get the idea of refreshing your hair (including its smell) a few days after you've shampooed it, but the scent is very cloying and obviously inescapable as it's on your hair! Not good at all for a scent-free work environment, so I will have limited use for this. The good news, however, is that Kristin Ess has just launched a scent-free line of products, and I believe there is a similar product in that new line. I would recommend The One Signature Hair Water, but only with the caveat about the strong fragrance.

A Thin but Clinging and Heavily Scented Hairspray
Based on the ingredients list for Kristin Ess Hair Water, I expected a sort of mineral water spray with extra softening ingredients of a natural sort, with a very mild fragrance that would vanish. Not so: the scent is reminiscent of heavy perfumes popular in the 80s, like Angel by Mugler, and the "Water" actually coats the shaft of the hair with what feels like hairspray/shellac. It is hard to wash out. Not for my thick, slightly wavy hair. This product may be just the thing for fine hair that you want to set, or to which you want to add texture.

I have often used a fine spritz of water to rehydrate my curls. I usually use Evian Water Spray but find it a little expensive. I tried this one just to see how it would work with my hair. I was disappointed with the results and found the scent of Kristin Ess Hair Water excessive, I didn't use much but what I did use left a heavy scent I could not escape. I tried it twice, the solution weighed down my curls and left my hair flat and heavily perfumed. A shower could not come fast enough after a day trying to escape my own hair. I now have it on the shelf not to be used again. I would not want to try any of the Kristin Ess products due to the strong scent. Actually, I would prefer a reusable bottle that works as an atomizer (hint, hint Well.ca) but until then it is back to the Evian Water Spray.

For people looking for a hair refresh to restyle, even if you have thick, coarse hair or type 3C and up, this is the product. I love it. Takes out any elastic band waves so that you donâÂÂt have to rewash your hair everyday when youâÂÂre in a rush. Makes it shine, smells good, love it!!!

Great product that effectively resets my waves. Better than any other refreshing product I've used, however the scent is way, way too strong. Anytime I've used it people comment on the scent - all positive - but if you work in a scent free environment, or don't like to cloak yourself in such powerful perfumes, this product may be problematic. I hope the company will consider a scent-free option soon!

Honestly I cannot get over the smell. ItâÂÂs very floral and perfumey and it DoesnâÂÂt dissipate. I used it once, and regretted it because I left for work for the day and had to suffer with the smell for 8 hours. ItâÂÂs so overpowering. I canâÂÂt even comment on its effectiveness because the smell is overwhelming. Used it once and threw out the bottle. So disappointing.

I was skeptical about buying "water in a can" for my hair...but this has been my go to and I have re-purchased often. I use as a refresher on second day hair. I have curly hair that is frizzy. This is perfect to use to refresh the curl without using a lot of products. The smell is great - I have had compliments on my perfume (and I don't wear perfume!).
