The Lulla doll is a sleep companion for preemies, babies and toddlers. It imitates closeness to a caregiver at rest with its soft feel of natural cotton and soothing sounds of real-life breathing and heartbeat. Lulla's unique design is based on scientific research that shows how closeness improves sleep, wellbeing and safety.
Made of soft, natural cotton blend and hypo-allergenic polyfill, Lulla Doll was designed to be genderless and raceless, perfect for any child. A push on Lulla’s heart plays back 8 hours of gentle breathing and the resting heart rate of a yogi in meditation, allowing baby to feel safe, secure and close to a parent. The doll can pick up the scent of a parent for added comfort.
To ensure safety, the doll has a hidden hook and loop fastener strap to attach to a crib rail, out of the bed and safe for baby and parent’s peace of mind. The Lulla doll's safety tested for children from 0+. However, pediatric guidelines suggest that soft toys should NOT be placed in an infant's crib until they reach one year of age. This is why the Lulla doll is also designed to be an outside crib attachment, with hook and loop straps hidden in a pocket on its back for easy attachment to a crib, bed or car seat. The volume of the Lulla doll sound is 65dB, making it safe for babies sensitive hearing. Size is 12" x 6".
Care instructions: For general purposes, recommended machine washing the Lulla Doll is at 40 degrees celsius (warm) and hang to dry. The soundbox must be removed prior to washing, which is easily done as it is placed in a hook and loop fastener pocket on the back of the doll. They recommend using a washing bag and going easy on the spinning. If necessary, gently readjust the filling after washing to help the doll regain its former shape. For added safety for the most sensitive children, the Lulla doll can be washed at 60 degrees Celsius (hot) to eliminate most bacteria.
Keep in mind that repeated washing at high temperature might affect the dolls appearance.
Sleep longer, feel better, be safe.

I bought this doll for my one month old son. I wasn’t expecting much because he is still such a young baby. I haven’t noticed it help him sleeping but it definitely helps him settle when he’s in a crying fit. I’m hoping it will help with sleeping as he gets a little older.
The only con I can think of are the batteries. It uses them up quickly, I would look into a rechargeable one so you’re not spending a ton on batteries every month.

I received a defective doll and well.ca was great in dealing with my issue! I’ve been happy with the Lulla Doll so far, my 15 month old is doing better sleeping through the night so maybe that’s why? I wish the batteries lasted longer and it had an on/off switch instead of an 8hr shut off but there isn’t anything else similar out there so I’ll take it. I agree with other reviewers in that it should have an embroidered face instead of just a print.

My daughter loves this doll- she has been sleeping with it since she was a newborn. She will not sleep without it.
It's very light- so I never worried about her having it in her crib as a newborn.
If you use the sound option it does go through batteries very quickly.
I find she doesn't need the sound of the breathing/heart beat anymore, but we used it when she was younger.
This doll also washes very easily.
I kind of regret using such an expensive "lovey" for sleep training- seeing that we had to purchase a second one for day care- but it helps her sleep and she loves it so it's worth the money!

I bought this for my 12 month old to try to get her through her one nighttime wake up. It didn't have any effect. But, I'll try again with a newborn if I have another one.
-Super soft and cute and the perfect size for my 12 month old. She loves cuddling it.
-Washed it accidentally with the sound machine and it still worked! I do not recommend that. But HOORAY!
-No volume control. I find it loud.
-No option for sound setting. I'd prefer having the option of choosing just the breathing or just the heartbeat or both. I find the heartbeat (which is a pop pop sound) is like listening to a dripping tap.
-The face and heart is only silk screened or iron transferred on. At $99 and the amount a child should use it and with washing, it should be embroidered so it doesn't disappear.

I caved and bought this doll when my husband was away and I was caring for my newborn and 2 year old alone. I was exhausted. This doll has been a game changer for us. My 2 year old was still waking 3 times a night and wanted us to lay with him or to get in our bed. We noticed an immediate improvement, he calls it "his baby" and says the baby is sleeping when the sounds are on. For the last several weeks he has been not only sleeping through the night but also sleeping almost 11 hours at night. I am amazed and just wish I had bought it sooner. We paired it with the Gro Clock and I couldn't be happier.

I just ordered this for my 11.5 month old and cannot believe the drastic changes! My babe has gone from waking up 1-4x a night (and sometimes taking 2 hours to get back down), to sleeping through the night (or maybe up once). He puts himself back to sleep easily (which he has never done). Naps are longer, he is waking later in the day, its been a dream! Highly recommend.
