Rated 5 out of 5 by from These muffins are very plain, and that is exactly why I gave them 5 stars. Plain is just what I was looking for, this is a great start to my own personalized muffins. I make them savory by adding some cubed low fat cheese, cooked chopped turkey, a little garlic/onion powder/sea salt. I make them sweet by stirring a little powdered cinnamon/powdered stevia mixture into the dry mix. Then add whatever fruit/berry is in my fridge, a little melted coconut oil brushed on top then a sprinkle more of the cinnamon/stevia. I also like to use carrot juice or hemp milk instead of water. I find these muffins, whether sweet or savory have a nice texture, they don't have the crumbly texture that is so common with gluten free baking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I was extremely disappointed when I received this mix. It claims to have "no sugar added", but that isn't true. There is brown rice syrup added, which is a form of sugar. My diet is very restricted and I can't have any sugar, so this was disappointing. The syrup also isn't listed on the ingredients on this website, but it is on the box.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have to admit, the first time I made these I thought...these are very plain...not much flavour, except for the walnuts I had added, but it was what I needed as an option for a candida diet. The second time I made them, I was able to add more ingredients, used blueberry juice, blueberries, flax seed and walnuts again, and a little Stevia. They were great, and as someone else mentioned, they are a great base to make them whatever you want them to be. I will certainly buy them again, to create whatever I want them to be. A little pricy perhaps, but not bad.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from These were not at all my cup of tea. I added lemon zest and blueberries and still found them to be very bland. Even when fully cooked (toothpick came out squeaky clean), they looked like raw dough when taken from the oven. The texture was not muffin-like at all, more like a scone or tea biscuit. I read all the positive reviews before purchasing, so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, I won't be putting these on my keeper list. I should note that this was my first purchase of a gluten-free mix so I've got nothing as a basis to use for comparison.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really like these! I use these to make buns, scones, etc.. they are the perfect base for savoury/plain buns. Fast & easy to make, and taste great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made the mix exactly as the instructions indicated and the muffins turned out great. They didn't have the gritty texture other gluten free mixes tend to have. The flavour was very bland though and the texture was more like a tea biscuit then a muffin. Next time I'm going to replace the water with juice and add nuts or blueberries. These would also taste good as a dinner side with cheese added to the mix.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from First time trying This was my first time trying this brand. I followed the instructions using OJ rather than water, used maple syrup for sweetener and added some orange extract. I didn’t have any oranges to use rind too. I also added dried cranberries. They tasted very bland. This mix needs a lot of help to bring flavour to it. The entire box only makes a dozen cupcake sized. I use cupcake liners and close to half sticks to the wrapper. For the price, I don’t think it’s worth it at all.
