Expired Chocolates with a New Sticker
My husband and I are convinced this is simply a way of getting rid of old stock, and honestly, it should be illegal.
I opened the box of chocolates today when they arrived (November 29, 2025). The moment I saw them, I could tell they were old, but I decided to try one anyway. They were awful — extremely stale and completely inedible. The nuts tasted rancid, and the chocolate tasted just as bad as it looked.
I was sure they had to be expired, so I checked the date on the box. There was a sticker on the side showing an expiry of “2026,” which already seemed suspicious. When I peeled the sticker back, I found the original expiry date underneath: September 22, 2025 — more than two months past its due date (see photos).
This is a new low. I truly don’t understand how a company expects to keep customers when they resort to deceptive practices like this.
