Recommended Dosage: Adults and adolescents 11 years and over: Take 2 to 3 tablets once daily with water or fruit juice. MAXIMUM DAILY DOSE: 3 tablets. Take two (2) or three (3) times per week. If results are not observed, the frequency of use may be increased up to once daily. Take a single dose at bedtime. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or health products. Allow at least 6 to 12 hours for laxative effect to occur. CHILDREN UNDER 11 YEARS OF AGE: Consult a physician. DURATION OF USE: Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 7 days.
Warnings: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Do not use if you have: abdominal pain; nausea; fever; vomiting; diarrhea and/or rectal bleeding, with other medicines or if you are presently taking mineral oil, if you are on a low salt diet longer than 7 days Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you: are allergic to docusate sodium or any other ingredient in this product, noticed a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts longer than 2 weeks, are pregnant or breastfeeding When using this product: frequent or prolonged use may result in dependence on laxatives for bowel function, dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, it may take up to 3 days for you to have a bowel movement
