Great product, but some issues
I purchased this video monitor a few years ago when my son was young. Image quity is great however the sound is iffy. It keeps on crackling when its on video mode. I had contacted customer service by email but to no avail.
As my son was older i switched it to vox mode which made it better, but now that my daughter is born and a reflux baby, the video option is constantly on. The cracklimg sound makes me jump every time.
The charger port is now also deffective as it will no longer hold a charge.
It worked well for about a year. I now have to purchase a second monitor to keep a close eye on my daughter.

Easy to use and features I wanted
The monitor is very easy to set up and can either be mounted on the wall or sit on a stable surface such as a shelf. Battery life so far is excellent as is the range from home unit to parent unit. Sound quality is great and video is as well considering it’s not an HD monitor. I like that it has different modes to conserve battery. The ‘talk back’ feature I’ve used very little but found it had a delay and the voice quality was ok. The pre installed music is nice to have in case the mobile we use stops playing. Love that it’s not wifi based and in my opinion is very secure because of that. Love the temperature indicator for the room and this you can set up for warnings based on temperature preference.
Overall I’m happy with this monitor for the few months I’ve had it.

Great monitor, even better service
I loved and used this monitor for a year with my son. The picture is great and it was easy to use. My monitor died after a year and my experience calling customer service was amazing. They were so helpful and stood by their product. I gave all my product info, my info and they sent a replacement right away. I couldn't be happier

Phillips Avent Baby Monitor
I found the Philips Avent Digital Video Monitor was an awesome product that stood up to what it said it could do. The video was crystal clear of the baby an the sound was also superb qualit.I liked how it played my voice back to the baby too. Its a product that put me and the baby at easeand was worth its weigt in gold.

Good product overall but poor charger connection
Overall this is a great monitor/camera. It has a good range and features, we have really enjoyed using it. It does what we need it to do with good resolution and sound but without any fancy features from the other monitors on the market. The major flaw is the micro-USB power connection on both the camera and monitor. These connectors are not sturdy enough to be on a unit that is used so frequently: plugged and unplugged, possibly pulled on by children/grandparents. We take this monitor on vacations, to friends and family's houses and it just couldnt handle the plugging/unplugging and failed after less than a year. this connector is a common item on many other children's appliances from other manufacturers and we have had failures on both this Philips product and other manufacturers who use micro-USB. Though Philips has warrantied any issue we have had with our monitor's connection. In short we do recommend this product but would wait until it has a better connector to really stand behind it.

Great product and customer service
The product works great, the quality of the video is really clear. the monitor battery lasts a really long time. The monitor power button stopped working suddenly after 6 months but Philips sent us a brand new unit within 2 days. I was very impressed by that.

Not good...
We received this as a baby gift at our 700sqft apartment...standing 2 feet outside ofbthe baby's room, the monitor beeps as if it's out of range. Can't be more than 5 ft away or it doesn't work...same deal at grandparents houses...useless

Great product poor power button! Now discontinued.
Great product, great picture and sound when compared to other similar product.
Poor product construction once that power button breaks the unit it rendered useless and Philips no longer repairs or supports it.
