I got the replacement
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I got the replacement blades as part of the Philips VoxBox campaign. Each blade is supposed to last ~4 months and have a convenient, color-based indication system to show when it's time for a change. Since the first blade will last a really long time, I thought I'd speak a bit about their quality instead. The blades are quite sharp and do a great job of providing a close shape, and yet because the cutting happens due to the blade's vibrating motion, it doesn't cut the skin in a way a conventional razor would. Given how quick and easy they are to use, it seems unlikely that I'll ever go back to my regular razor. I recommend these!

Great Shave too bad about the replacement blades
Got this to reduce the waste of a disposable razor and it is great for that. Shave it very good. The initial blade was very sharp and worked for a long time the replacement ones however are very poor in comparison. After only 3 shaves the blade was not sharp and began to deteriorate quickly (see pic). I don't mind paying for the blades but they should be longer lasting.

My husband really likes
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My husband really likes the One Blade! He gets a nice clean shave without the irritation. The blades themselves are great, it's surprising how smooth they are but how well they shave when you use them! I like how the blades turn more neon green when it's time to use a new one so it's easy to know when to replace it. My husband has found they work great on both wet or dry skin which is a plus. I think our only slight complaint is that they are pretty costly (especially for students) but depending on how long they last we will hopefully only have to by another pack once or twice a year so if that's the case it'd definitely be worth it!

Very Useful for my Purpose
I should be an every day shaver but only bother about once every week. Normally due to the length of hair I need to pre shave and then shave again. The process ends up clogging my expensive 4 blade cartridges.
I bought this product to try and it was great. Easy shave with no hair pulling. Not quite as short as using a normal blade but very close and more than acceptable for a morning meeting.
At one point I was desperate to shave my head as I am normally completely bald. Keep in mind that this is not what this razor is for but I decided to give it a try. It was a tough go but the finished product was great. I won’t do it again but it shows that the razor is well designed for its intended use.

A great way to maintain optimum performance
I like the way that the replacement blade has the same performance as the original blade and the visible wear indicator is a sweet bonus. I have been using this machine for years now and I have always had sensitive skin; using this machine with Aveeno shave gel and rinsing the blade under running water gives me unequaled satisfaction. I will usually replace the blade before the wear indicator is at the limit and the ability to tell the wear at a glance is wonderful. The value of this machine is exceptional.

Engineered to fail.
This product is great when it works. My first blades were fine, then I purchased a pack of replacement blades…totally different experience. The first one broke one of 4 hinges immediately. I thought I had accidentally mishandled it. I used it as best as I could but of course while taking the comb guide off the hinge on the opposite side broke. I made a point of being overly gentle with the second blade in the pack. 3 of 4 hinges broke almost immediately. Reading a 1 star review like this you’d wonder about the writer and if he’s just too dumb to use the product properly, but my voice is just one of many who experienced these expensive product failures. Surely Philips could make these better; I feel like they were de-contented to fail while they still had useful life but Philips went too far and made the consumables too fragile to be of any use whatsoever. The cost of these flimsy units is too high to chance buying another pack of blades and having them fail in the same way. Shame on you Philips, your customers deserve better.

Head breaks very easily
I have bought two and I really love how they shave but the head has broken with a couple months each time. Terrible design.
