Awful New Scent!
I been using the Softsoap Soothing Clean - Aloe Vera for many, many years and have always loved it. I was running low and decided to buy several of the refill bottles as I usually do. I just started using from that purchase and they have changed the scent. It stinks! Has this strong, awful scent and my family and I can't even handle this strange new metallic, chemical, nail polish remover like scent. It was a wonderful product with a great light, fresh scent and now it's ruined. They don't even label it new scent! Had I known I would have only bought 1 bottle to try. Now I have to throw several bottles out and buy something else. So much money down the drain! Unfair not to warn consumers about change. My latest smelly purchase was made in Canada.

Why, Just why, did you need to add harsh scent????
It's so shocking that your company would change such a successful recipe by adding an overpowering scent. After using this soap for the last 10 years at lease, we will sadly need to find a new product. If it's not clear from the reviews, I would really hope that you may decide to revert to the old recipe and delete this harsh chemical scent, othewise it looks pretty clear that your losing a significant dedicated base of purchasers.

BEWARE
Beware: this has a new very strong fragrance. I can no longer use it after 10-20 years of being loyal to this exact product. This was a go to for those with sensitive skin & respiratory systems that wasn’t super expensive. Please bring back the old formula.

Ruined this soap
They added this "fresh scent" to this soap now I can't use it. As the old saying goes..."if it ain't broke don't fix it". Now I've had to go online to find a soap without scent. Thanks Colgate...for nothing.

Smells terrible and dries out my hands
I’m very disappointed that the scent has changed in this soap. I have used this soap for years but I won’t buy it again. It smells way too strong and the smell is gross. It’s also drying out my hands like crazy. Whoever decided to change the formula and the scent made a bad call.

WHY?!
Why??! They took a perfectly good soap that had many long-term customers including me and ruined it? All the recent reviews say that same thing ... it now stinks, you can't get the smell off your hands, creates headaches and leaves skin dry and chapped! I don't know what they were thinking or who in their right mind thought it was a good idea. What it does show is they really don't care about their customers. Maybe they decided to reduce the quality to save manufacturing costs. Is it worth it when you've probably losts tons of customers? No one wants to buy this stinky soap now. I've been testing out some of the aloe version of the store brands and have found two replacements that come close to the original. The only way they will get me back as a customer is to change the scent/formula back to the old one. Big mistake making these changes and yet it's been how long and it doesn't seem like there is any attempt to revert back to the original. Did they even think to test this horrible update with actual paying customers? So disappointed.
