Directions for Top Loaders: For
small loads use 2 tbsp. For medium to large loads, use 4 tbsp. For
heavy or stubborn stains, soak for 1 hr or make a paste with water and
scrub lightly with natural bristle scrubbing pad.
Directions for H.E. Machines & Front Loaders: Energy efficient machines use 1/3 less water than traditional top loaders making them better for the environment by saving water and less energy. Less water means less soap. Use 1 tbsp for small loads and 2 tbsp for med-large loads. If needed, dissolve detergent in ¼ cup of warm water for machines requiring liquid detergents. Caution: Do not overload your machine with heavily soiled items; doing so may require an additional rinse for proper soap and water dispersal.

The scent doesn't last past the washer but I love all the scents anyway! What I really like, is that all my laundry comes out feeling softer than ever and I use the laundry tart wool dryer balls with the Laundry tart re-scenting drops which makes the laundry room smell great but does not leave a strong chemical smell on the clothes like the big brand fabric softener. My clothes feel so much cleaner! This is the second bag of laundry tart detergent I have bought and I will continue to buy. Love that it's made in Canada!

Love the smell, but for cloth diapers in hard water we ended up with repelling due to detergent build up. Also, the package says 90 HE loads, but I found that for washing diapers that 1.5-2 tbsp was required, that means only 40 loads (with 2 tbsp) - for the price, I think that's a lot of detergent and much more than other brands I've used.

Love this product. Use it for the cloth diapers and the diapers are always soft and clean and have no smell. I use 1.5 TBSP for each load and it works great even for a large load. I can't really smell the scent after they come out of the dryer but that doesn't bother me. I prefer this product over Rockin' Green and would recommend it to anyone using cloth diapers :)

I have been using The Laundry Tarts detergent for 3 years and love how gentle it is on my clothes! Even with our hard water, fabric is left feeling soft and does not come out of the washing machine with the residue (slippery feeling) often left by mainstream detergents. The whimsical packaging appeals to me, as do the sweet scents, but more importantly, this is a product that I can use even having sensitive skin. It does work well on most stains, too, if you follow the instructions on the package (also on The Laundry Tarts web site). A great baby shower gift or gift to include with a college student's care package. Recommended!

The scent is fine, this is not the type of laundry detergent where the scent lasts past the washer, so what it smells like isn't all that important to me. What I really like, is that my daughter's fleece pyjamas and blankets come out feeling softer than ever and I use the laundry tart wool dryer ball. My clothes feel so much cleaner and I no longer get eczema. This is the second bag of laundry tart detergent I have bought and I will continue to buy. Love that it's made in Canada!
