If you're looking for an natural NSAID consider this product.
I went to school (read that as sat too much) for a long time and come from a family where lower back problems are familiar. About 30 years ago a radiologist described the disk degeneration in my lumbar spine as "dramatic". Fortunately my hobby is athletic and keeps me physically active. For a long time all I needed was to keep active, focus my mind away from the chronic back pain, take breaks during and avoid long distance driving (sciatica), and consume a very occasional prescription opiate painkiller to manage any consequent symptoms. I am sure many others have similar issues.
Time marches on. Over the last (let's say) 5 years the pain gradually became increasingly intense and sharp, and never leaving my sciatic nerve at all. The methods I was using no longer successfully managed my discomfort, which in turn was limiting my movement, interfering with my hobby, and reducing the quality of my life. I couldn't even sit comfortably. I did not want to increase my use of pharmaceutical preparations, especially not the opiates.
I heard Turmeric (a food) was a natural NSAID. I tried a bottle from a local big box drug store. I only discovered how effective it is when I began taking doses so large it went through many pills/capsules. I honestly don't like it in food, so switching diet wasn't useful. Then I found this product.
Weber has a fine reputation, and this extract of the active component from turmeric reduces the volume so that the equivalent of about an ounce (that's a large volume) of raw turmeric) fits into a single capsule. I only need one daily and I am for all practical purposes free of lower back pain and sciatica.
Two big box store pharmacies used to stock it but now they only stock the lower dosage. I guess if that works for you it's convenient enough to get it that way. My condition was so aggravated that a noticeable localized atrophy appeared on my thigh. It's gone. This is the only anti-inflammatory (steroidal or not) that provides me the necessary symptomatic relief without any side effects that I can discern. Unless an allergy or some other medical condition prohibits it I highly recommend this product.
