Silk sea sponges have been used in cleansing rituals dating back to ancient times. Their soft texture gently exfoliates the face while the high mineral content fortifies, making them suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin. These 100% natural sponges contain enzymes that prevent bacteria growth and inhibit odours, so you can use them on your face for months without having to replace them. Not only are they free of chemicals, hypoallergenic, and biodegradable, we took care to find a supplier that uses sustainable harvesting techniques, making this sponge a renewable tool.
Directions: Dampen sponge with water and massage into skin using circular motions. Be sure to concentrate on areas of trouble, like flakey skin or the t-zone. Optional: Apply one of our Wash cleansers and massage into the skin using the sponge for an even deeper cleansing experience.

Very small
I historically order a different sponge which was out of stock. When this sponge arrived I was aghast and suggested to Well.ca that they put the dimensions of the box it comes in so shoppers have a size reference. The best description would be it's comparable to one of those tear-drop shaped makeup sponges or slightly bigger. If your intent is for a small and delicate area I would still recommend buying a different brand and simply cutting it into desired-sized pieces. The value is not there for the price point.

Pleasantly surprised by this sponge! I was worried it would be very small, but is actually the perfect size for your face, which it is what it is meant for. Works great, with just the right amount of texture for a very gentle exfoliation.

Great little exfoliator!
Love this little sponge! A lot of reviews talk about how tiny it is, maybe that’s why I was prepared, but I love the size. It’s perfect for my face. I only use it maybe 1-2x a week to exfoliate my face with my face wash. I’ve had it for a while now, I find it easy to rinse and squeeze out the excess soap. It has stayed clean and would buy again when I need another.

I really like this product. I also purchased the body sponge from their website. Both feel like a nice, natural, and easy way of exfoliating. I like that this product would be compostable when I'm through with it, and that it comes from a regenerative source.

Works great!
I really enjoyed using this as a “reusable” exfoliator. My only complaint is that it’s a bit tiny, so hard to use on areas other than the face. It’s very effective though.
