Chewbeads began in 2009, shortly after the founders Lisa & Greg had their first child. Like most babies, their son Benjamin loved to put everything in his mouth and necklaces were a favourite! Lisa wanted to create a soft, non-toxic jewelry for herserlf, with which he could play as she held him. Lisa then developed Chewbeads, a jewlery line which is colourful, chic and above all else, safe for little ones!
These beautiful everyday wear necklaces are baby friendly and made with FDA approved silicone (similar to pacifiers and nipples), which is soft on babies' gums and emerging teeth. They are free from BPA, PVC, phthalates, heavy metals, cadmium and lead. In addition, they are strong enough to stand up to tugs, bites and are made with a breakaway clasp for an added safety!
