Does not do the job
These are terrible. They do not get the dishes clean. I even tried adding an extra tab in the top cutlery drawer but still does not work. Also leaves a residue.

Save your fishwasher
The pump in our 5 year old dishwasher died and it costs too much to repair it. Ugh! The repair person said that the dishwasher pods with the ‘plastic’ coating are to blame. It doesn’t dissolve all the way and gets built up after time and kills the pump. It’s also WAY too much soap. I switched to powder (1tsp.) then found these and they’re perfect! They clean well and I love the mild lemon smell. Highly recommended.

Cloudy residue, weaker than other detergents
I bought like 240 of these on a summer sale after a positive experience with Tru Earth's laundry strips, but I'm pretty disappointed in the effectiveness of these detergent tablets. It seems like there's always some kind of cloudy chalky residue which is especially visible on glassware. The surfaces of bowls, plates, and cutlery just never come out clean.
I was desperate to make these guys work and it feels like I've tried everything:
- Ensure hot water is running at the sink tap before running the dishwasher,
- Ensure the dishwasher has some rinse aid
- Cleaned the dishwasher by running it with a bowl of vinegar on the top rack,
- Clean the dishwasher spray arms and clean the dishwasher filter every time,
- Ensure that dishes are properly loaded dirty-side down,
- Tried every cycle/setting combination on my dishwasher, quick, heavy, auto, heat dry, no heat dry, sanitize, no sanitize, etc.
- Two tablets, half a tablet, one and a half tablets, one tablet in the detergent compartment and a little extra ground up detergent in the bottom of the dishwasher for the pre-rinse cycle, you name it.
- Added some baking soda at the bottom of the dishwasher
- Added a drop of dawn dish soap along with a tablet (I know you can't add dish soap to a dishwasher because of the suds)
In the end I got some cascade tablets from a friend and they were visibly much more effective.
I'd love to hear if there's anything I could try to make these more effective, I've still got like 210 left!!

Get the dishes clean and great value.
I have been searching for a replacement to the powder I have been using. I love these tabs and they smell fresh. I did find that when I had a really baked on mess I need to use 2 tabs. However, they still work and better than the powder I was using. Top it off they are a great price.

Great eco-friendly product
I have been using Tru Earth dishwasher tabs for about 4 years now and I totally endorse the product. I do lightly rinse my dishes before putting them.in the dishwasher as I only run it about wiice a week. I have never been disappointed.

Works well!
The dishwasher tabs take care of the dirtiest dishes we have. It’s easy to use and store with no worries of leaking pods. We have soft water and use rinse aid
