With a one-way ticket to Peru and no itinerary, founders and owners Ula and Mike, wanted to see how other Americans were living. They traveled off the tourist path to truly experience the South American culture. In many of the places we've traveled, they were impressed by women carrying their little ones in colourful wraps while working in fields, crafting goods, or taking care of their homes. Both mother and baby were content being snuggled closely to one another while life's work continued.
When their daughter was born, they wore her in a sling. They experienced how convenient babywearing was and how much it benefits both parent and baby. A few years later, their son was born and they discovered the ease of ergonomic carriers. They have tried many different carriers and never found one that completely satisfied them, so they had their Ba Noi (Vietnamese for Grandma) sew them one to their specifications. It was close to perfect!
Today, it has become their mission to promote babywearing worldwide through quality products, education, and community outreach in order to form a more perfect union between caregiver and child.
