Back to Original Recipe
I have used Nivea Hydro Care lip balm for over a decade. This new recipe is slight fragrant and flavoured, with a stickiness that uncomfortably clings to your lips. If Nivea sticks with this recipe, I will have to find a new go-to lip balm.

Horrible new formula
My family and I have used Nivea lip balm forever it seems and ONLY wear this and now I have to search for something new. Abuse the new formula is gross - the smell, the taste and the texture. It’s just gross. If ain’t broke why fix it??????

I’ve been using Nivea lip balms for many many years and have never been disappointed, till now. I’m all for improving a product but the “new improved formula” is so awful and the taste is ewww! Could you not have kept one original?

I'm 65 and have used nivea products since my teens. Let me know when you go back to the original lip balm formula. This new formula does not moisturize. Also, I suspect it contains more than 3 oils in it, broke out in a cold sore.

The new formula does not work
I never write reviews but I had to make an exception. I LOVED the old Nivea lip balms. They were the perfect product. I picked up the new formula and I really dislike it. It's too waxy. The formula did not need to be changed.

New formula is awful!
This has been my go-to chapstick for over 12 years. The new formula is absolutely awful! Doesn’t go on smooth or keep lips hydrated at all! Please, please, PLEASE go back to the old formula! Finding a replacement has been so hard!

Nasty and smelly and not in a good way
The title pretty much sums it up... The new formula is nothing like the old tube...we literally dug into the garage can to compare the two... If all the other scents are changed I don't want to take a chance. I want a refund

Amazing lip balm
I was given this free sample to review from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I suffer from dry chapped lips a lot, so this lipbalm was like a saviour for me. Helps keep my lips moisturised and thus reduces chapping

New Formula is Terrible!!!!
I have been using the old formula for years and it was the only thing that worked. The new formula is not moisturizing and more of a wax that doesn't do anything. Will never buy this again unless the old formula returns.

This lip product is okay, I have definitely had better, it’s a little waxy when applying, it doesn’t last long and I have to keep reapplying multiple times a day to feel moisturized.. not the worst but not the best either.

And honestly, I didn't really like it. It's good for a cheap alternative but I found it didn't do much other than coat and protect my lips.

shanie is amazing and if she thinks that this lip balm is amazing, it means that it is really amazing. She is right because it feels sooo good on the lips and the mosturizing is really good. AND it is cheap. save money :)

A little goes along way.
I like it. This lip balm keeps my lips moisturized for a good while and a little goes a long way. I dab it on or gently swipe it on i cant really taste the flavor unless i put it on heavily but other then that its good.

It’s ok
So it definitely does hydrate your lips, but the after taste that it has it’s just really off putting. It makes me not want to use it. I think I’d really only find myself using this if I had no other lip balm around.

Scent is amazing
A lot of people here are complaining about the scent, but I absolutely love it! It smells really green and fresh. Hard to describe but I find it lovely. The formula is a bit waxy though and tends to wear off quickly.

Don't like new formula - would give zero stars
I really wish people would listen to their customers. This new formula smells and has a weird texture on the lips. I loved the old formulas before. Have been using this product way before when it was called labello.

It’s okay
After receiving this product from Influenster, I was super excited. The original Nivea Lip Balm is my go to, and this just didn’t do the same thing. I had to reapply constantly, but the initial feeling was great.

Bring back the old formula
I'm so dissapointed that they changed the formula. This new one is so thick and waxy and gross. I can't find anything comparable to the original formula, if they bring it back I am loading up for years worth lol

why did you fix something that wasn't broken?
I used to LOVE this product, then they changed it. WHY?? The texture and smell are awful now. I'm so disappointed. I hate when companies do this. I will have to find another lip balm, I can't use this.

I loved this product for years, but the new formula for Hydrocare is awful! Horrible scent, waxy feel. I will not be buying this ever again unless you bring back the original formula. Very unsatisfied customer.

Part of my daily routine!
I am so so so obsessed with this product that I now reach for it every day, twice a day - at least. This leaves your lips feeling so smooth that your lips will thank you! I definitely recommend giving it a go.

Pretty standard, could be better
Got this from Influenster. Has convenient packaging. Is on the thicker side. Doesn't contain spf so its more suitable for nighttime use. Overall, Its a pretty standard lip balm but it could be longer lasting.

Worked well for me
I constantly need to have my lips feeling silky smooth I hate dry lips. This worked great for me. It went on smoothly, I didn't get any of that sticky feeling on my lips. And it lasted for quit a long time.

Keeps your lips hydrated
This lip balm keeps my lip moisturized, hydrated and soft all day long. It feels very light and comfortable on the lips. I love having this in my purse and on my office desk. I definitely recommend this!

The used this brand for years and had loved it. But in the last while my lips became chapped and were peeling. Stopped using this and now they are fine. The new formula doesn’t work. Switching brands.

Nice but not for me
I think this lip balm is fine, just fine. It goes on nicely, I would reach for it if my lips felt dry, but I wouldn't buy it again - I have others I like more that keep my lips better moisturized.

The old formula was my to go lip Balm. Always have one in my purse! The hydro care enriched with natural oils smells a little bit stronger, but I still love it. Keep my lips moiturized for hours

Changed formula
It does seem thicker, I used to live in this lipgloss years ago but hadn’t used it in a while.. and the scent is stronger. Maybe they’ll change it back & hopefully not mess with the other ones!
