Rated 2 out of 5 by from Change for the worse I had been buying Nivea Hydro Care for years and used it daily. I chose this particular brand because it always left my lips feeling soft and moist, unlike so many other lip balms. I loved it so much I bought several at a time and like other users, "stock piled" them because I didn't want to run out. Yesterday I bought several tubes and could immediately tell that something was wrong. The balm no longer leaves my lips feeling "hydrated" but waxy, just like all the others. Now, for the first time in probably 15 years I'll be on the lookout for something new. You've just lost a loyal customer, Nivea. Good job.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from First impression I haven't used it a bunch as I can be nervous about trying new lip chaps. I've had bad reactions in the past so I tend to stick to what I know. I received this to try and it's very interesting... I'm not sure it hydrates as much as it refreshes? Currently my lips don't have any issues so it's fine, they're just left feeling sort of wet? I'd worry if my lips were chapped and in need of moisture, that this wouldn't just irritate them by keeping them damp but not actually providing any actual moisture passed the surface? Will have to continue using to see if there are any adverse reactions, for now it's just an odd experience

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New formula is awful I used to LOVE Nivea Essentials and raved about it to everyone I knew. It worked amazingly. I just finished the last tube from my stockpile and had to buy more... I knew before I even put it on my lips that something was different. I almost cried! The new formula is terrible. It feels like waxy paste and makes your lips stick together. It doesn't soak in it just sits there as a thick layer. It also smells gross. I am honestly so disappointed and now have to start the hunt for a replacement, which I'm sure wrong be as good. I hate when companies change their formula on something many people use daily and love. Boo Nivea!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Using Vaseline Lip Balm Sticks Instead! Just letting everyone know that Vaseline has a lip balm that has virtually the exact same packaging in lipstick format - it is comparable to the ORIGINAL Nivea. Like everyone else who has posted reviews, I was using this product when it was still labeled as Labello in Canada. I was so disappointed with the new formula especially considering I purchased several all at once (as I normally do to have multiple sticks on hand). The fragrance is unbearable and the formula way too thick and paste-like. The Vaseline version is also about the same price and comes in double packs just like your favourite old formula :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fix Nivea hydro care if you care I see you have a public - very low overall opinion of this product. You obviously don't care. Why do you have such a disconnect to what people say about your product? Why do you keep manufacturing it this way? I have mistakenly bought your lip care over the years. Only to regret after I apply. This is especially true when I eat, the taste of your lip care overpowers everything. I must remove it because it's perfume taste. Is there a masochistic chemist in your labs that revels in ironic displeasure? Under this pandemic, getting my shot and being able to throw away all the Nivea lip care was the best days ever!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why did you change the formula - new one is terrible I have used this lip balm for years and loved it. My supply was getting low so I picked up a new package. I opened the tube and swiped it on my lips and the noxious fruity scent hit my nostrils and made me nauseated. I picked up the package and saw 'new improved formula'. Not improved. I threw out the package. What a waste of money. Very unhappy about this change. I rarely give reviews, but I went looking to give one this time. I see I'm not the only one. Please change it back. I am looking for old stock in the stores and once that's gone I am sadly looking to switch to something else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the old formula! I’ll say it a million times - BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA! This new formula is terrible. It smells bad, tastes bad, and feels bad on application and after “long wear” (which is about 1/10 of the wear time of the old formula). You have to keep reapplying because it dries up in no time, which makes me think that is exactly what they wanted out of the new formula. Use more, buy more. Unfortunately, I have switched to another brand. If you bring the old formula back, I will buy every single one! Seriously though…do you have a box of old formula somewhere at corporate? I’ll buy them all LOL (but seriously).
