A widely used fixative in perfumes, patchouli's rich, earthy aroma provides an olfactory bridge between floral and herbaceous oils. Add a few drops to sweet almond oil to create a nourishing treatment for dry skin.
Aura Cacia Patchouli Essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the properly dried plants.
Botanical Name: Pogostemon cablin
Ingredients: Pogostemon cablin (patchouli) oil
The scent is strong. It's not the best patchouli essential oil I've smelled, and it is over priced, but I like it. Try mixing it with the cinnamon bark essential oil.
Great product. Smells wonderful. I think a person either loves or hates patchouli. Best used in small doses of course.
SO STRONG! Definitely not watered down! It's aroma can be "an acquired taste" but there are so many benefits! From reducing appetite or balancing libido through a diffuser - to tightening skin, alleviating anxiety or relieving constipation with bath water - to treating acne, dermatitis, eczema, athlete’s foot and other fungal infections with a cotton ball - and so much more!
I like patchouli oil, though this one isn't the best I have smelt. Patchouli is one of the few essential oils that gets better with age :) Use it sparingly, as the scent is strong. A bit overpriced.
I like this product my husband uses it like a cologne I absolutely love the scentl. I don't buy him any other cologne it is my favorite, and his too.
