My first PRESS and I am imPRESSED! I'm glad I finally got around to buying to buying this long desired item of mine.

I had been using a generic gift shop french press for a year or so and was finally just fed up with getting coffee grounds in my drink.

I bought to Bodum because it was reasonably priced and could make more than 1 cup. It actually makes enough for 3-4 servings, and NO GROUNDS. I love it. It's also 100% dishwasher safe and dismantles easily so it doesn't take up a lot of space.

I do find I do not need to use the 2 scoops of ground coffee that the instructions say to. I just use one and I still get a great robust flavour.

I don't mind the notch at the top, I think its nice to keep the lid in place.

Got this for my husband to use in the office and we absolutely love it. Big enough to big 3 mugs of coffee. Very easy to clean. Like a lot of other people mentioned, the notch at the top where the handle is was quite annoying at first. Love Bodum products!

This was a great purchase! I love how snug the filter is, it doesn't let a lot of the grounds come through. The notch is a little annoying but once you get used to it, it is very easy.

This is the bottom-end bodum, and good value for price. Makes about 3 mugs of coffee. Worked smoothly, and coffee grounds didn't escape. I find the little notch at the top (where the lid fits with the top of the handle) a little annoying, but it also helps keep the lid in a proper place for pouring. Have only handwashed so far, to will need to see how it does in dishwasher, esp as glass part doesn't come out.

Well made, no grounds escaped at all, surprisingly large.

This makes fabulous coffee! With my old one the glass part could come out like a beaker but this one is attached to the plastic.... the last one broke so maybe this is a better design. I'd give it a 4/5 now and see how the wear and tear will affect it. The last one, a different brand, the little metal screen at the bottom started unraveling and actually cut my friend. This one so far seems to be made well :)

This is a wonderful French press. I use it to make tea and I love how elegant it is in its simplicity. I only wish it came with some sort of insulated sleeve to keep my tea warm!

I misunderstood the 8 cup description; it makes two mugs of coffee just like any other French press. But it's easy to clean and works well.
