CeraVe® Moisturizing Cream is recognized by the Canadian Dermatology Association's Skin Health Program, recommended by the Dermatology Review Panel and accepted by the Eczema Society of Canada.
CeraVe® Moisturizing Cream increases the skin’s ability to attract, hold and distribute moisture. It penetrates deeply into the layers of the stratum corneum (the skin barrier) to restore the balance of lipids that are essential for an effective skin barrier. CeraVe® Moisturizing Cream also forms a protective layer over the skin’s surface to help prevent moisture loss.

When I first tried it on my arms, it did moisturized my skin without being greasy.
But after using it for 24 hours, the areas where I have no rash before started getting itchy.
My dermatologist, who went through the list of ingredients, told me the paraben preservatives are the likely culprits,
because he switched my skin medication from cream to ointment because I reacted to the paraben preservatives used in the medicated cream.
I wished the manufacturer would switch to using preservatives that are less irritating, then I would try this again.

I have very dry skin that gets flakey in the winter, as well as moderate rosacea. The cream has a wonderful smooth texture and sinks easily into my skin without leaving it looking greasy. Unfortunately, it seems like my rosacea may disagree with it - after several nights of wearing it before going to sleep I started to wake up with red bumpy skin, when usually I wake up with clearer skin. I'm not sure if it's a reaction to the cream, or if the cream simply isn't moisturizing enough for how dry my skin is in winter. I plan to try it out again in the summer, when I don't need as much moisture - I really like it and hope it works for me!
