Colgate® PreviDent® 5000 Plus (Rx) is a prescription-strength fluoride toothpaste that can deliver 5000 ppm fluoride. It combines the cleaning power of a toothpaste with prescription-strength fluoride for dental caries protection.
Dosage: A dental caries preventive; for once daily self-applied topical use. PreviDent 5000 Plus (Rx) brand of 1.1% sodium fluoride in a squeeze-tube is easily applied onto a toothbrush. This prescription dental cream should be used once daily in place of your regular toothpaste unless otherwise instructed by your dental professional. May be used in areas where drinking water is fluoridated since topical fluoride cannot produce fluorosis. (See WARNINGS for exception.)

Can't live without it.
I had a lot of tooth sensitivity. It was so bad that it made it difficult to eat. Food could just brush up again the my teeth that were really sensitive and it would cause a twinge of pain. Those teeth were highly sensitive to cold as well. I work in the dental field and I tried every toothpaste for sensitivity and none of them did anything. Then a Colgate rep visited our clinic and gave me a tube of Prevident 5000 to try. After a few days of using this toothpaste in the morning and the night, I finally found relief. It's changed my life. A miracle in a little tube. 6 years later and I continue to use this toothpaste daily and I continue to eat free. The bonus, it strengthens my teeth at the same time.

Worth it.
This is the only toothpaste that allows me to eat comfortably. I have a lot of recession on my upper posterior teeth so the root exposure made it very difficult to eat without pain. Using this toothpaste daily before bed has made a huge difference in my life. No other sensitivity toothpaste worked. It's a small tube but it goes a long way. The squeeze bottle is bigger but you end up using more so it doesn't last as long and I found it less effective.

The Best toothpastes hands down
Highly recommend all of the Colgate 5000 ppm toothpastes, although it's designed for extra cavity control before or after, these Colgate toothpastes are much more effective than any sensodyne products for sensitivity,it fully helps tooth pain not just sensitivity,I hope Ive helped nothing worse than teeth pain, Ive used all the Colgate 5000ppm,the Prevident 5000ppm,NeutraFluro 5000 plus,the whole range is teeth Nectar from the Gods,it's that good,it's saved me from some rough painful night's,

Can't imagine life without it.
Due to exposed roots my teeth were very sensitive to cold and food just touching those areas would make it so difficult to comfortably eat. I'd tried every other product and had no success. This is the only toothpaste that makes it possibe for me to eat pain free. Can't imagine my life without it.

Caution! This is not a full size tube!
Great toothpaste but this is not a full size tube - I made the error of assuming it was and paid a full 11 bucks for a 39ml tube. Good travel size but you're better off getting the 100ml size squeeze bottle for the exact same price.

French labels
My Xmas stocking contained a Colgate PreviDent toothpaste for Sensitive teeth 1.1% Sodium and 5% Potassium. I went on line to find out more about it and there was a comment that said "This product may not be right for you. Always read and follow the label." So, I tore off the label and everything is inFrench (I am English speaking!). I couldn't find anything that details why I maybe cannot use it. Could you please advise me of any problems? Thank you.
