Cute but need to have your own paint to sub in for some empty colours and not enough orange to actually paint the whole pumpkin.
I was really excited to order 3 of these for my 3 children.
They are super cute. But I will say it was kind of expensive considering the paint that comes with it had some of the colours with no paint in the pots or next to nothing, dried on paint smear that you couldn't use. Was not just a problem in one set, but different colours in each set. Some paint was really sticky like it was almost dried out too. I was lucky to have acrylic paint of my own to sub in so they could still do the craft. But when you are expecting it to be a ready to use, all included set, and for the price it's kind of a disappointment. There also wasn't enough orange paint, even if the paint pot was full, to paint the whole pumpkin like a traditional pumpkin. My 5 year old didn't care he used other colours but my 8 year old cared.
I also brought 3 Christmas tree sets which I haven't opened yet so I will havr to check out the paint pots.
I think there are some cheaper alternatives. Micheal's has paintable pumpkins for cheaper especially if you already have paint. I also believe dollarstores sometimes have seasonal sets like this. Even stores like Winners sometimes have ceramic pumpkins that could be painted.
We still had fun with it and the jack-o-lantern is cute. I did get it onsale for $15+each instead of $20 but still.
My kids are 8, 5 and 1.5 years old and they all were able to use this kit with help opening the paint pots.
