Stay Dry & Smooth
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Thank you Unilever Brand & Topbox Circle for giving me a Dove Cool Essentials Anti-Perspirant to try. I received this full sized product for Free in exchange for my honest review. I applied a thin layer of this Anti-Perspirant once a day, for the past ten days. Dove’s “unique formula contains ¼ Moisturizers” and promises to provide “beyond effective protection” that improves the condition of your skin, “even after shaving”. This product went on smoothly on my underarm skin. No tugging. Zero irritation to my sensitive skin. No wetness. It left my skin feeling smooth, and seems to moisturize the delicate underarm area more than some other anti-perspirants do. My pits stayed dry, for “up to 24 Hours”, as promised.
The texture of this solid stick is also smooth, not chunky, or clumpy. It is white, so be sure not to cake on the product, otherwise you will see white residue. Note: my sample was not Invisible. This mild fresh scent is clean and pleasant. I’d say it is an aloe cucumber like scent. The biggest issue I have with this particular Dove product is that it does contain Aluminum. This is an ingredient that I would rather avoid. It also contains Talc.
I tested Dove Cool Essentials Anti-Perspirant this past February, when it’s relatively cold in Manitoba. In the heat of summer, an Anti-Perspirant with Deodorant may be needed. For now, this product is all I needed to keep my armpits dry, smooth, and fresh smelling. I have tried other Dove Anti-Perspirants and Deodorants before that I prefer to this particular one, but it’s still effective. I recommend this product to women of all ages, who are looking for an effective, affordable Anti-Perspirant, in solid form.
