The smell is very strong but if you like smelling like'll love it.

Smells like citronella, I wouldn't say it really does the "detangling" job but Im giving it 4 stars for what it is supposed to do keep lice away, which it has so far.

Smell isn't bad at all, it's citronella! If you're looking for a great scent buy perfume, not lice repellant. Lol.

Yes, it stinks. But if it works, who cares? So far so good.

You definitely have to get used to the smell. It's not horrible, but it's not rainbows! It makes the hair nice and soft for sure, and takes tangles out well. I use it in the mornings on my girls' dry hair.

This is a great spray! I was a bit worried after reading all the comments about the smell - it certainly doesn't smell like the artificially scented kids detanglers out there! Reminds me of citronella, and it levels out after a few minutes to a very fresh, almost lemony scent. Excellent as a detangler, hoping it keeps the bugs away! As a side note, the wasps leave the kids alone with this in their hair - very positive side effect!

I was a little disappointed in the spray being so stinky. I used to just put tea tree in my girls hair to fight lice and thought this might be a nice change. but the smell is so so strong. We won't use it.
