I have thin, wavy hair that scrunches into curls fairly easily but isn't naturally "curly". I bought this product hoping that it would hold the scrunches better, but it clearly isn't designed to hold as much as to relax.
I've used this before with a perm, and it did exactly what it says it will do: define and soften curls and prevent frizz -- so the fault is not the product, but rather with my trying to get it to do something it wasn't designed to do, which is why I've given it a 4/5 rating. It's a great product.....just not for my particular hair type.

Changed the formula on me :(
I have used this product for over 5 years now. I buy 6 boxes at a time because I use so much on my long, thick, curly hair. Over the past 5-6 months I noticed that the cream is thinner and does not hold my hair anymore. I find myself using more of it and my hair does not look good. It is as if there were too much water in it. I am very disappointed. I would've given this a 5 star rating before and I recommended it to EVERYONE who asked about my hair. It was an awesome product for curly hair that needed a heavy hold. Why change a product that is selling??

This stuff is great!! My daughter and I have "difficult" hair and I have been looking for a product that would tame and define our curls FOREVER!! Then this blessing came in our last bag!! Definitely going to buy some more as we are already out!!

Not the same anymore
I've been using this product for the past two years and it worked wonderfully. Now it seems the formula has changed, leaving my hair frizzy, stringy and oily. Would not buy it again, very disappointed.

Why did you change the formula....it's horrible
Been using this for almost 2 years and love it, however this morning I opened a new tube and the formula has changed. The former formula left my curls sleek and soft. Today I have frizz and sticky hair. It's awful!!!! Bring back the old formula please

Definitely buying this again!
I love this product! I have naturally curly hair that's ratty most of the time. This lotion leaves my hair soft and more bounce to my curls. Unlike mouse, this product is like adding curls without the sticky feeling.

This is gel not lotion
I bought this thinking it was the same as the current envy lotion. It is not. It is clearly gel. Feels awful on my hair. The old lotion was soft as sliky. This is sticky and makes my hair stringy!

Strictly Curls
African American 60+ woman with natural and I use this product to enhance my natural curls. My hair is curlier with Marc Anthony's Strictly Curls than other products I have used in the past. It feels and smells so good!
