Burned my skin
Four days after I started using this product, my face started burning and it suddenly turned red and swollen. Additionally, my skin started peeling off for the first time in my life (I had oily combo skin). I stopped using it immediately. It's been two days after I stopped using this product, the redness and swollen have gotten better but my face still burns.
The dryness even gave me crow's feet for the first time in my life (I'm 21)
Neutrogena should remove this product from its website and shelves of all its distributors immediately. And the company representatives should issue a public apology to all the victims who went through this traumatic experience.

Worst facewash
ATTENTION BUYERS!!!! I bought this yesterday and i used it twice a day. 1st day was fine but this is the second day i washed my face and after 1 hour my whole face is swelled and I’m not able to open my eyes properly. For the first time I’m reviewing any product. I bought it to clear my face acne but ended up having severe reaction to my face from any facewash so far. Please be careful while choosing any product for your face. I’m having my job interview tomorrow. What should i do now. DON’t BUY THIS PRODUCT. Irritating to the eyes and burning my face.

Excellent Face Wash
While no product is perfect, this works quite well. I have tried soooo many products over the years to battle my chronic acne. After another product I was using was discontinued, I needed to find an effective replacement. This wash has ultimately been the best I could find. My skin is very reactive and sensitive to ingredients but it responds well to this cleanser. It reduces acne, allows pimples to heal, and reduces oil. It is a bit drying but your skin gets used to it after a week or so. I am very happy I found this product!

Very disappointed
I bought this product to try it for the first time. After 2 days of use it gave my face a rash like a chemical burn. It was dry and flaky and burned to the touch. Was very disappointed:(

The Best
This is the first product I have tried by Neutrogena and it’s great. This product takes patience and time. You have to get to know it before you give it a final verdict. When I first started using it, I did not think much of it. I then learnt that some people leave it on the skin for a few seconds before rinsing it off and I think that really did it for me. Leaving it on the skin for a few seconds before rinsing really gets the acne. I also use it on my body and it works really well as a body cleanser. I highly recommend it. Definitely patch test it if you are scared to try it.

Ingredients Changed?!
So been using this for a while and just bought a new bottle and its totally different. The previous bottle made my skin nice and smooth and now its just a dried out mess, I actually noticed right away when it smelled different and foamed up less. Looking at the ingredients on my old bottle compared to the new one and also what is listed on here it looks like you completely removed Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract as the second ingredient presumably to cheap out and make your cost lower? Nice move Neutrogena, been a loyal customer for a while with numerous products and I'm done.

Too Dry - Skin Reaction
I used this for a couple days before I noticed anything bad - on the third day I woke up to the skin around my mouth and nose so uncomfortably dry that it was painful to move my face. It also somehow made my lip really dry (despite not applying it around my lips). I stopped usage and the day after woke up to my face entirely swollen, red, and so dry it was flaking. It did clean my skin but not worth the pain of the reaction. I also don't have sensitive skin so this was a very odd reaction. DO NOT use this daily. There are better products for acne and oil prone skin.

Literal Chemical Peel
I purchased this product reading “gentle cleanser” - I have oily to normal skin. I used this product on my whole face once and found it uncomfortable on my skin. I rinsed it thoroughly and thought I had just picked a product that didn’t work for me, that happens. The next morning I woke up to red swollen patches along my cheeks, around my lips and forehead. The following day my skin is dry, cracking, swollen and painful all day. I can’t even apply anything but cold water to relieve the symptoms - my skin is literally peeling off. I followed the instructions before washing my whole face I tried this on a patch of my lower jaw three times before washing my whole face with it - but still it is exceptionally strong for something marketed as gentle yet it has the maximum amount of salicylic acid for home use - perhaps the word gentle isn’t appropriate.
