Originally designed for straining and wrapping cheese, this loosely-woven cotton gauze is also excellent for poaching, stuffing poultry, canning, wrapping and wine making. Because it is lint-free, it performs equally well as a cleaning and polishing tool.

Not very fine weave
I like the price and the fact that it is non-bleached. But the weave is a lot looser than the cheesecloth I got with a cheese making kit. It'll work if you use multiple layers but if you wanted to sieve out fine particles then this may not work for your needs.

Unbleached is preferable
Wonderful that it is unbleached. I use it to strain herbs when making tinctures.
