Description
The
big sandwich box! This two layer lunch box from Onyx fits an adult size sandwich,
and it still has the convenient second layer for salads, pickles, fruit
etc.. You can also write on the container with a non-permanent marker.
It measures 17.5 x 13 x 6.2 cm. It is made from 18/0 (#430) food grade
stainless steel.

Rusting after 2 washes
This is a good size, arrived as described, and the small condiment container included in my package is water tight. Unfortunately the top compartment is already rusting after only 2 washes even with gentle detergents.

Not impressed
After washing this for the first time in the dishwasher, I noticed there was a black tarnish in the crevices all around the containers (there is three pieces, as they stack together) that I had to wipe off with a cloth. What the heck is that all about? I’m not sure I want to put food in here now.

Great alternative to plastic lunch boxes
The layers make it convenient to separate food items. It's a good size and easy to use! A bit more depth would make it even better to hold more food for longer days. Reminds me of the lunch boxes we used in India as kids.

Great size for kids, but…
…already noticing rust spots on the lid :( Which is unfortunately because my kids like the container. I hand wash and dry it too. It is easy to open and close- which is a bonus for the kids when at school.
