Hit and miss
We've been slowly switching to as many Canadian products as possible in our house and deodorant is the latest challenge. Routine seemed highly recommended online, so we bought a bunch of the mini samples to try the scents out. Most of them smell AMAZING, only a few were a bit too sweet for our tastes. Unfortunately, I found that regardless of which scent I used, these smelled amazing for the first half of the day, then made me STINK towards the end of the day. Like, actually made me smell exceptionally worse than without any deo. They worked well for my partner though! Just fair warning: these mini's are REALLY mini. Definitely a boutique product.

I found a new deoderant I like that works!
I struggle with deoderant. A lot of them just don't work for me very well (as in the label says it's good for 24 hours, I don't even really get 8--and just as many don't work at all), plus Old Spice and Green Beaver both give me chemical burns.
The brand I'd found that worked best was made in the US, so of course with the current political climate, as a Canadian, I would much rather switch away. Thankfully, Routine is made in Canada, so I could give it a shot without feeling guilty. I would have liked to purchase directly from the manufacturer, but they were charging $20 shipping; even with Well.ca marking it up an extra $3 or $4, the shipping only costing $10 made this the cheaper option overall.
I've tried all four scents now, though two had to wait until the weekends because someone at my workplace is allergic to bergamot, which is in two of the scents included. I don't know if the allergy is specific to ingesting it or not, and I would rather be safe and just not use those two at work.
None of them give my any reactions, and they work well enough to last through the day. They don't do anything to protect my white shirts from yellow pit stains, but soaking those shirts in hot water and oxi-clean for a bit before washing takes care of it, and I do that for my whites anyway so it's not adding any extra work on my end.
I'm not a huge fan of Like a Boss or Superstar, and Johnny's Cash is alright, though a little disappointing from what I had been expecting. I didn't expect to like Reuben & the Desert, but it turns out that that one is my favourite of the bunch.
