Works really well
I bought this to try and be more eco-conscious with the cleaning products I bring into our home. I've been using it for about six months and have found it to do a great job on cleaning everything that I put into the dishwasher. It does a terrific job, even on the hard, left-on bits on plates, and doesn't leave spots on glasses. I especially love that there is no strong smell during the wash cycle or when I open the dishwasher to clear out everything. A box seems to last our family about 35-40 washes so it's a good deal for the price too.

Excellent Dishwasher Detergent
I've used Cascade liquid, powder and pods. I started to use Cascade powder because I could control how much I wanted to use. Then my store stopped selling the powder, so I bough the Seventh Generation Dishwasher powder. It works perfectly well. No residue. I use a tiny amount in my Miele dishwasher and it cleans very well.
I refuse to use the pods because they force you to use too much detergent. With the powder, I usually use only about a teaspoon. It does the job, and yet one box lasts a really long time. Highly recommended

It doesn't clean my dishes
I read so many good reviews about this detergent and claims it is environmentally friendly. But if a dishwasher detergent cannot clean the dishes, it is meaningless whether it is environmentally or not. The bowls and cups were left with a lot of tiny residues that I have to clean them again . I tried to blame it to my old dishwasher but when I switched back to the regular tablets, my bowls and cups are so cleaned, no residues.
I will throw away the unopened 2 boxes, although it is not a environmental friendly way to do it . But it is really frustrated to check every dish and bowl after each use of the dishwasher.

Excellent value
I have an older dishwasher and this Seventh Generation powder works best in it, of all the more eco-friendly products I have tried. I have also used Nellie's, which is excellent as well, but this SG product is a lower price. I prefer the loose powder to the little packets that many dishwasher powder products come in. I also appreciate that this one comes in a cardboard box, rather than single-use plastic packaging. Once you try any of the more eco-friendly powders, which generally have no or very little fragrance, you might gag when you smell the regular dishwasher pods or packets that are offered by regular grocery stores -- they seem to have incredibly high amounts of fragrance added to them, for whatever reason.

Why change a good thing???
I used to buy the dish detergent in the box (no plastic). Now I can’t find the bay only the packs which are plastic packs in a think plastic bag?? I will be using another brand until I can find the box of detergent sans plastic.

Perfect also as laundry detergent!
Yes, I am using this as laundry detergent. It works perfectly fine in my upright HE washer. My sister has tried it in a front-loader, and that works as well. The enzymes in the dishwasher detergent remove organic waste and even blood with ease. I would just be careful with organic materials, such as wool, but it seems to be fine with cotton. I started this when we needed to get rid of parasite eggs. I could not find a study, but based on what the enzymes do, they should also work well to resolve the shell of sturdy parasite eggs. We had Ascariasis, and it did not return after I started this. I have been washing my laundry with it ever since. If you work in a lab and have a blood-stained lab coat, you can restore it to "white as new" using dishwasher detergent.

Works well!
Works well! dishes come out very clean, leaves the dishwasher really clean also; which is a bonus - have bought twice already. Its a box of power, I usually use pods - BUT I like that I can measure the powder depending on the load in the washer; a great product!

By far my favourite dishwasher detergent. My dishes come out clean and free of any residue or spots, and no chemical smell that I notice from other detergents. I don't use a rinse aid. I've used others that are as good, but are more expensive.
