Rated 1 out of 5 by from I like that the product is made in Canada but I have to be honest. I did not enjoy this gel on my hair. Number one, Suncoat claims that the gel offers a "medium hold." But that's not the case. Five minutes after I applied the gel on my hair, my hair became very stiff and not at all manageable. Also, the gel is sugar-based so it is very sticky when being applied to the hair. And now we get to the issue of residue. My scalp looked "flaky" after using this product. I don't recommend it at all. Sure, the ingredients are great and it's vegan but the results are not pleasing in the least. Go with "Kiss My Face's Upper Management" gel. Much much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new favorite hair gel! I have 3a curly hair and typically use a creamy styling product (Pacifica Best Day Ever or the Suncoat serum are my favorites right now) followed by a gel to hold the style and avoid frizzies. I have been looking for a replacement gel for the one I typically use that has better ingredients, and this one is perfect for me! It is a bit crunchy when you first apply it, but once my hair dries I crunch up the curls and they come out shiny and bouncy. I can get great second day curls using this as well since the style holds. I have purchased this twice and will continue to do so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've tried so many hair products over the years, and had to give most of them away, barely opened. My skin is so irritable that I avoid hair salons like the plague, and have been quite frustrated trying to keep my curly-to-frizzy hair looking professional. A good friend recently cut my hair for me, and suggested I try a dab of her Suncoat gel. After reassuring myself that the ingredients were virtually edible, I tested it first inside my elbow -- no trouble. So I rubbed a dab through my hair the next time I washed it... and again, no trouble. Wow. Wore it to a conference and felt pulled together, all three days. So, so grateful there's something non-toxic enough to work for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for my curly hair I have a hard time with overly scented, synthetic smelling hair products so I was excited to find a natural hair gel. It does have a peppermint scent, but it’s not synthetic smelling- more like peppermint tea- and it dissipates quickly. It is sticky when applied, but after my hair dries I scrunch it and it is a nice, soft, shiny hold. A little goes a long way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really like this product. It's made from organic, natural products and materials and does not make my head itch. Warning, a little goes a long way! The size of a pea is enough. I use it on slightly wet hair and tease it in with my fingers then let it dry with my hair. It does go kind of crispy when dry, but then if you run your fingers through your hair again, it seems to stay where you styled it. This tube will last a long time!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This is a great fragrance free hair gel. Key is a little goes a long way. If you use just a little, you get decent hold and manageable hair without the crusty hardness the other reviewers have mentioned. I have very fine, thick hair and this gel doesn't weight it down. I use a pea size amount rubbed between my palms.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turns white when dry I wanted to love this, but as it’s sugar based, the gel turns white and flakes as it dries… so you end up looking like you have dandruff :(
