Highest quality organic chocolate
Taza is one of the top-rated dark chocolates by Consumer Reports in terms of lowest cadmium and lead content, a concern with many chocolates. Also, many health benefits from pure dark chocolate with minimal sugar, high fiber, antioxidant activity, polyphenols, and flavanols. And as a bonus, it is organic! Of course, being almost pure chocolate, it is bitter, an acquired taste. If you eat chocolate for sugar, not health benefits, get milk chocolate....

Better dark chocolate option
The Taza 95% dark chocolate has a crumbly texture, different than overly processed dark chocolate. I switched to this brand after learning it is low in heavy metals and toxic substances unlike popular dark chocolate. The taste of this chocolate is slightly bitter which I enjoy. It's a better alternative to mainstream dark chocolate.

Not for everyone
I’ve had dark dark chocolate before, but this is almost like biting straight into a cocoa bean. I’ll have to try it in a recipe, but I would not buy it again.

I love it
I love it. I find it ever so mildly sweet, and satisfying. It is much lower in heavy metals and this is very important as heavy metals can build up faster than you can clear them because of how slow your body is to excrete them. This is not a sweet treat so unless you like very dark chocolate or want to love it, it’s not for you.
