Not as good as they used to be.
I have never regained full continence following my radical prostatectomy for cancer. I use the Tena pads because they are the most comfortable when compared to the other brands, but they are not as absorbent as they used to be and I am disappointed with them. I am finding I have to change them more frequently than before and there has been no significant increase in my incontinence. It looks like there has been a change in the manufacturing process and cut backs have been made. However I will continue to use them because they are so much more comfortable than the comparable Depends product.

It is good if it is used for the right stage where you are.I
I started using it after going through a radical prostatectomy over 5 years ago by using Tena comfort fit underwear until things start to improve by switching into Tena Men protective Guards.Recently I went through another surgery by using an advance male sling system which improved my leakage situation. But due to my seasonal allergy problem ,I still have some minor leakage caused by sneezing and coughing. For this situation all I need is a more lighter and smaller pads, otherwise the Tena Men protective Guards are to bulky. Any new product in the future?

post-radical prostate surgery leakage
I find these reasonably effective for overnight light leakage, but not during the daytime when I am physically active, working out at the gym, yard work, and hiking. I just wish Tena provided protective guards specially designed for active men with moderate leakage.

Why can I not buy the level 2 absorbent protector in Canada
While in the UK this month I found that you have various levels of protection. I find that the level 2 protector is just better than what you call the maximum protection in Canada. So why don't you sell all the different levels of product here in Canada??

Tena Protective Guards For Men
The Tena products work very well for me, as I have been using them for over a year. The packaging works well for travelling and I would recommend Tena products to anyone who has incontinence problems.

Not well designed
I have found the frontal wide pad area of the product ineffective and of no use. The only area that actually absorbs leakage is in the narrow area which is where the protection is needed. To achieve effectiveness with this pad, I have to move it downward which makes the wide part uncomfortable. The adhesive is also quite weak and allows the pad to move out of position easily. These problem areas make me want to try other similar products.

It works.
It does exactly what it is expected to do. Although I don't really need it anymore I wear it still at parties and other functions just to give me the confidence that I wont have an accident.

EXCELLENT product - adhesive used could be better
EXCELLENT product - one flaw in that the adhesive used could be better - for instance similar to the Depend' s mens light use product.
